Spent a night at America’s Best in Hanford. The area felt a little sketchy since it was so dark outside, but the room itself was a pleasant surprise—super clean and really spacious! We stayed in a 2-bed, non-smoking room, and it had everything we needed: a TV, coffee maker, mini fridge, and plenty of lighting (though the hair dryer didn’t work in our room). Sadly, no breakfast was offered, which was a bit of a letdown 😔. Overall, though, it was a comfortable stay, and we’d come back if we’re ever in the area again.

They have bed bugs and roaches they charged me for a 2 bed room and only got one bed. Just 3 days ago i was paying $90 a night and now they are charging me $110 cause they said they have a lot of reservations, they don't allow you to use the pool. I paid for a room and the TV remote wasn't in the room and when I got one it still didn't work.

I am writing to bring to your attention the serious issues my family and I have encountered during our stay at the Americas Best Value Inn in Hanford, CA. These matters have escalated to the point where legal action is being considered due to the significant distress and harm caused to us.

Summary of Issues:

1. Harassment and Retaliation:
- Consistent harassment by motel staff, including aggressive confrontations and false police reports. (California Civil Code Section 1942.5)

2. Intrusive Behavior:
- Unauthorized room entries without required notice. (California Civil Code Section 1954)

3. Poor Living Conditions:
- Roach infestations, pervasive cigarette smell, use of illegal plastic cups, failure to wear gloves, and mold issues. (California Civil Code Section 1941.1, Senate Bill 54, California Health and Safety Code Section 117075)
- Despite filing a complaint about the roaches, we never received a response from Sonesta.

4. Inadequate Amenities and Services:
- Missing or inadequate amenities, poor water quality, and bed bug-infested linens. (California Civil Code Section 1941)

5. Emotional Distress and Impact on Children:
- Significant emotional distress caused by harassment and aggressive behavior, particularly affecting my children and myself due to my disability.

6. Misleading Notices and Questionable Practices:
- Improper eviction notices and discrepancies in documentation. (California Civil Code Section 1940.1)

7. Defamation:
- False allegations of child abuse made by motel staff, resulting in police involvement, causing harm to our reputation, particularly with welfare agencies, and resulting in significant emotional distress.

This hotel is amazing. Pool is amazing always cleaned. The management is nice. The rooms are clean. The fridges in here are adorable! They also have little freezers in em! Only bad things about this place is that the continental breakfast is Raisin bran, Frosted Flakes, coffee, stale cinnamon roll minis and those sweet breads that come in the packaging. That’s all I have to complain about oh also it would be really cool if there was a snack machine here the drink machine is by far my favorite 😍✋🏼 also the tall manager kinda fine 🫢🏃🏼‍♀️💨

Do not get a room here. Management tries to be shady and take peoples deposits. They ask for it in cash 50$ a night and try to give you a receipt in pencil! My grandmother was nieve when getting a room here and they would not give her deposit back the next day. How are you going to steal from at 74 year old you are straight trash! Shame on you! This place is asking to be sued. Also if anyone is to get a room here these people say they know nothing about a policy, so tell them you want to sign a policy for when you stay because they will try to tell people we will charge you 5$ for a deactivated key card, you cant have no guests over etc. after you get your room. They try to make up their own rules, but as long as you sign in writing a policy about what you can and cannot do they cannot tell you anything.

To start, they charged $20 for my service dog because I didn't provide certificate showing he was a service animal. The room door was needing repair and paint and it would not deal completely. Lamp by the bed didn't work. No remote for the TV so office provided one that only worked for a few hrs then stopped working. Wifi was super slow. My phone worked faster when I used my own data. Dresser provided only had one properly working drawer. Bathroom again needed paint very bad. Toilet tank lid was not correct one for the tank and did not sit on top properly. After flushing once the toilet constantly ran. I was told maintenance would come check out the room after lunch but they never showed up. In total, the room was gross. The one nice feature was the mirror about the sink with built in lights. Unfortunately that was it. Not worth the money charged by far. I do not recommend and this is hard for me to say because im typically not a picky person but this was not a pleasant room.

Absolutely terrible, room was overpriced for being dirty. Arrived at 1 am lady at the night window was rude, racially profiled me. Asked to keep my ID just Incase I smoked in the room since it was a non smoking room. Carpet was filthy, roaches of different sizes from small to big crawling all over the bathroom, bed frame, and fridge. Pillow cases were dirty and looked like they haven’t been washed for weeks. Then as I’m checking out the lady who works the front desk goes to check my room and says it reeks like marijuana, mind you I don’t smoke at all. They tried to charge me extra money and when I refused they threatened to keep my ID and call the police and swore that I was smoking weed in the room when I don’t even smoke weed or cigarettes. So I was forced to pay extra money to get my ID back. Overall I’d give it a negative 5 on a scale from one to ten. Do yourself a big favor and don’t waste your money here unless you can settle for sleeping in a dump.

Visiting family only booked one day, front desk lady was very nice, helped us very quickly, however our roomed smelled quite musky. Sprayed some perfume when we came back for the night. At 7 am a gentleman thought it was a good idea to spray the rooms door and window and floors. I woke up to hear and see a pressure washer water coming in under the door. Luckily their beds are very comfortable as well as their pillows so I could lay there comfortably awake.. Booked the room to be able to sleep in while visiting and so that didn't work out.
