You always get your money's worth. Staff all seem to have great, customer service based personalities. I'm personally not big on the desserts. But the meals are always great and hearty. And their chicken dumpling soup is the best! We keep coming back for that fish fry and always leave stuffed. I could only click on one meal for my review. But I've eaten here many times and all different meal times. My friends and I always come back. They will do everything they can to accommodate anyone who is disabled as well.

I would rate as a 3.5, but Google only has full ratings, so I’m rounding down to 3. The service is great (speed and helpfulness). The food overall is a mixed bag. Some things were at the high end of normal expectations and some things were a little under.

We came in on a Sunday morning. It was very busy, but we were seated right away.

The restaurant is bustling with staff. Steaming plates of food come flying by with somewhat startling speed.

The food was pretty mid overall. The coffee is quite bad. We were not too interested in getting a warm up. Also, some of the customary diner accoutrements were missing…jelly packets would need to be requested, syrup in a plastic cup…little things that aren’t a big deal, but they are a little distracting.

The pancakes were good. Very typical of a family restaurant. They were average sized.

The strawberry banana French toast was a little bit of a mess. It was a little soggy.

The corned beef is made in house. It was decently flavored, but not that meaty. There were strands of corned beef rather than chunks.

The hash browns had some color, but were still very soft and not as flavorful as we would typically want.

The breakfast panini was decent, but the bacon was rather low quality.

On a different occasion I came in for breakfast. The gyro skillet seemed smaller than typical for a dinner but was priced at $16 or so. Coffee was $4. The toast was noticeably unevenly toasted. Two skillets and a cup of coffee ended up costing $55 with tip. There are several other places in town with better and cheaper food.

Ultimately, I have to downgrade this place to 2 stars for value and quality… Especially with several other notable options in the downtown area.

Dined in this morning and was highly impressed by the friendly customer service from the moment we were seated… Service was great and the restaurant has a great ambiance!
To top it off the Chorizo Skillet was amazingly delicious as were the crepes!
Highly recommend Amalias !

Very friendly staff and quick service. My family enjoyed the lunch!

The chicken and dumpling soup was tasty and homey. I also had the veal parm; the sauce was a bit too sweet for me and the garlic bread needed a bit more salt/garlic.

Overall, it was a lovely experience and we look forward to returning soon!

Amalia’s has great classic diner food - their breakfast is especially wonderful. Always know I can stop in for some good home cooking. The hash browns are always golden brown and crispy, and there’s always more than enough with their hearty portions, I always get to have leftovers for the next morning!

Ordered the stuffed French toast. The cream cheese filling was more like a powered sugar frosting. Overly sweet and very gritty. Most of the filling was on top not inside. Daughter had a skillet, which she enjoyed.

Quiet, quaint, but a bit dated & worn out interior/decor.
Staff was polite, attentive, service with a smile.
Iced tea was very tasty & refreshing.
Chicken dumpling soup was average, flavorful.
Chicken parm had no breading, but was cooked nicely (I.e. not rubbery or dry).
Pasta & sauce was very bland & luke warm.
