I went for the second time with my husband today. We did the twilight soak which was nice because it wasn’t as crowded as the first time we went, but honestly it was super disappointing this time and last time. It’s so expensive and not really worth the expense for what you get. I guess we’re gluttons for punishment. Several of the barrel hot tubs on the Forrest walk were broken both times. The steam rooms were down both times. And this time they closed the signature sauna for maintenance during operating hours. Which we actually went today because that was my absolute favorite thing there the first time we went. I was so excited to use that sauna and it was closed. I was so sad. We drove over 2.5 hours one way for the one thing I wanted to do to be closed. To top it off during our most recent trip the the Nordic spa we were told by staff that they close at 9 on three separate occasions once when we arrived at 6 once at 8 and once again at 8:30 while we were literally getting ready to head to the locker rooms to get ready to go. It really took away from the “peaceful experience” it was just frustrating. And the icing on the cake which I have pictures of was how gross the locker rooms were. Over $100 per person for this was kinda ridiculous. If everything was running and working as it should, was a little less expensive, and the shower rooms were cleaner it would be super super awesome.

Best 5 hours of my day. This was a very nice Nordic spa. There were several large and small saunas, cold and hot pools (the 2 steam rooms were down when I was there). There is a ‘finish’ sauna and a ‘signature’ sauna that are quite large but able to get up to the 170 degrees. The signature sauna is lined to salt rock. Outside of each of the big saunas and steam rooms are cold pools of varying temps and depths. There are also multiple hot tubs. Then there is a little Forrest walk in the back that has smaller more private hot tubs and saunas. No phones allowed. Bring a water bottle (not metal) there are plenty of fill stations. Also amazing restaurants inside. It was a cold windy and rainy day - which is the PERFECT day for a Nordic spa.
Recommendations: They asked several times if I had been before and I said no, but they gave no map/tour/ or information. I spent the first 10 minutes walking around trying to understand what was available. Also on this windy day there were a lot of pine needles and things in the pools would have been good to clean them up more frequently.

There are no pictures allowed in the spa area and phones are prohibited in use. I have a ton to say about this spa, the staff is extremely friendly and the spa was incredible. They had multiple spas outside, from personal little baths to public baths with different temperatures. They had extremely hot baths, to freezing cold. They had a steamy sauna in the shape of a barrel. They had personal lockers to store all items in, a fluffy robe to walk around and slippers. At the end of your spa experience you can grab a small container of luxury bath salts and finish off with a shower which leaves you will smooth skin. This spa was attached to a huge resort. There was plenty of parking a little walk away from the resort itself. I definitely would visit again, this spot would be the perfect place for a peaceful honey moon!

A must visit. A surprising favorite part was the rotating teas and infused water each day. We bought tea to bring home we loved it so much. The variety of pools, saunas, and temperatures is top notch. It’s so nice to have your own little hot tub or sauna for your small party (when they are not jam packed- it definitely gets busy and the main largest pools can be almost shoulder to shoulder). Highly reccomend getting food there also- the blueberry brie grilled cheese is to die for!

Hottest tub was a small wooden tub and it’s 104. The rest of the pools are cooler, around 96, 97 degrees. Hottest water was the shower. There’s a cabin that’s currently under construction. It was nice but overpriced for hot tub and sauna. We booked online 2 weeks in advance and it was 125 per person, when we showed up at the facility, the day rate was 105. The only benefit of booking advance online is to lock you in at a higher price which is a turnoff. They are also building an additional wood cabin at one side of the spa, so you’ll hear nail gun, saws those construction noises. The steam room is under maintenance which they disclosed online. Overall it’s just overpriced for 125 per person.

We just wanted to pamper ourselves, and it worked. It was not really busy while we were here (9/3/24), which was nice. The steam room was out of order, and without even saying anything, they took 15% off for that reason. Very friendly and helpful staff, and beautiful setting. We talked about wanting to come back in the winter.

This was my first visit to a Nordic Spa. The customer service was wonderful. The steam rooms were down, but everything else was available during my stay. The process was explained very well, and the locker rooms were nice with everything you could need. I visited during the shoulder season when the hotel wasn't as busy, so the spa wasn't as full until their twilight hours started. Even then, it wasn't too busy. I will definitely be back to indulge again.
