Lovely place, good location in the country. Hostess very kind and friendly. Bathroom very clean and plenty of hot water. Fresh flowers from the garden in our room, dessert brought up to our room at 8:30pm. Breakfast on a tray outside our bedroom on time we specified. Hot coffee & tea, muffins, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and plenty of fresh fruit. Everything clean. History of the place described on arrival. Video on the restoration was available for viewing. Helpful recommendations for local restaurants. Quiet location and restful sleep. Stayed during COVID pandemic.

We had a delightful stay with Marge with some visits (and music) from her polite grandson, Harvey. The house is beautiful, harkening back to a more gracious time, and the breakfasts and desserts were delicious and plentiful. ||||This bed and breakfast would be difficult for anyone with trouble climbing stairs as the bedrooms are on the second floor and the stairs, being antique, are steep.

Madge has such a nice set up here, I would come again and again. On a less traveled road near Stoughton and not far from Madison is a beautifully restored old home. There is a video documenting the year and a half journey it took to refurbish and bring up to par this old home that had been neglected for years. It isn't large, so you get personalized care while here.||||We were greeted with a delicious lemon tart. Our bathroom was shared, and thankfully did not include a claw foot tub. Breakfast was a full complete breakfast with food picked that morning from the full garden out back. Yummy kringle, the most delicious pancakes I've ever had, scrambled eggs, fruit, I'm leaving out something. ||||We felt so bad that we had to leave so early instead of being able to relax and watch the world go by from the porch.

We stayed at Altemus Corners in June 2015. Our room and breakfast could not have been better. Hope you get the strawberry shortcake with strawberries grown on the farm. One caution: They don't take credit cards.

If you want a quiet place, relax in heavenly beds and eat good food, Altemus CHB&B is the place for you! Short way to center of Stoughton and the Livsreise-center, and not far away from Madison. An evening at the porch in a warm day is lovely!
