My husband and I stopped here for Valentine’s Day. The people were very friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun. The service was quick and attentive. We really enjoyed the steak, cocktail & dessert but the baked potatoes were a bit overcooked. The menu is expansive and I would love to come back sometime and try some other options.It was nice that they took a little extra time and created a unique Valentine’s Day vibe. We loved it.

Always loved the dinner here (especially that bruschetta!!!!) but today for the first time ever we tried the breakfast and it was PHENOMENAL!!!! With most other family owned restaurants being closed on Sundays, I’m not sure I can ever go anywhere else for Sunday breakfast when I’m in Wheeling!!! Everything was 10/10!!!

I have mixed feelings about this place. It may be because it's different from the old Alpha (which I loved), or the fact that it seems to have an identity crisis. The menu ranges from smoked meats to Italian dishes, and some other odd ball items. Prices seem high for what you get ($16 for a grilled cheese and fries?). The Pepperoni rolls were really good though.

We grabbed dinner here and had a blast. The chicken tenders were awesome, but the ribs were way too tough to eat—I didn't even get thru one

Prefacing this by saying that I planned on a ~3 star review, but my wife and I both got sick shortly after eating here.

In general, you can get the same food but cheaper, better, or both at many places in the valley. The Alpha does little to differentiate itself, at least not in a positive way, from other restaurants in the area.

Food: Middling. My wife really liked her sandwich. My meal was fine. Fries were edible but obviously not made fresh.

Price is very high for what you're getting. There's really no reason to come here when you're paying premium prices for average food.

Service was standard.

I'm not sure what the atmosphere really is. The prior Alpha wasn't my favorite by any means, but it was unique. The current Alpha really has no identity.

Even if we hadn't gotten sick afterwards, I doubt I would be coming back here any time soon.

My fiancé placed an online order and included a polite request not to include onions, olives, or peppers to my salad. it came with all three. the steak was so peppery and I ended up giving it to him. $18 for an 8oz steak salad isn’t bad, but it didn’t seem like 8oz and there wasn’t much salad. He ordered a pound of chicken tenders from the smoked section of the menu. they came breaded, which he couldn’t eat due to his current diet. If we order again, it won’t be through the online format.

Went here while meeting up with family. The menu is huge and lots of options. The food when it got to us was typical tavern food. The portions seemed the right size and the prices were kind of high.

The service was just OK. We ordered drinks and some apps. The apps came well before the food but the drinks it took awhile to get and get refills. We were given our apps with no silverware or napkins and had to wait and find someone to bring us some.

The food came and everyone seemed to enjoy the food. The restaurant was not busy, with only a few groups of people. Overall it's worth trying.

I've came here two years in a row for the new years buffet. It's been good both times. The first year was slightly better with the inclusion of prime rib. However this year was nice as well. They had a build your own pasta bar and the ham was tasty.
