Incredible! Went to Alma Bea for the first time on Valentines Day 2025. This was much more than going out to eat. It was an experience. We had a wonderful time in the lovely atmosphere while there was live music. The restaurant is an elegant rustic type of atmosphere. Very pleasant to sit and take it all in. The food is masterfully prepared with flavor layered all the way through the dishes and is very rich in taste/flavor. The staff take their jobs very seriously from the front of house to the back of house, all of which come together making for again, not just a good meal but a great experience all together. At one point the train went by just outside the front door which further added to the experience. I suggest making a reservation. I certainly do plan on returning.

Initially, very disappointed with the service walking into the place. We stood at the entrance waiting for someone to greet us as did a few more people that came in after us. 3 people behind the bar area never greeted us as they looked at us as we were standing there. A pleasant greet, like hi welcome someone will be right with you, goes a long way. It was not busy as we came in after lunch time and before dinner time.
The smoker was kicking out some amazing smells.
The smoker smells were better than the food we had. Your BBQ needs some work. Really over done pork belly and brisket.
The burger Patti was delicious and flavorful. I personally liked the chips the best. We spent over 120.00 in drinks and food. The drinks were outstanding. Burger was $26 dollars.
Such a neat little venue hoping we were just there in an off day.

This place is a gem. Not sure why it took us a year of being in the area before dining here!

Just go!!! We went with a group for Sunday brunch - everyone was super impressed with their choices of food and drinks. The core cuisine is new Appalachian with inspired twists of other ethnic cuisines. Fresh local ingredients, amazing baked goods! Service was attentive, great atmosphere. Can’t wait to return!

The food, the ambiance, price, you can’t beat this. Everything we so good. The prices are reasonable especially for the quality of the food. If I ever go back to WV we are going to eat here for dinner. You need to come here. Their fried chicken is soooooo good.

Very unique menu options. Their Cesar dressing and ketchup were homemade but didn’t taste anything like the original ones. The maple pistachio iced coffee was delicious!

1st time ever there and it was amazing. Got a iced coffee for a drink, the Appetizer was shrimp with guacamole and butternut squash, lunch was chicken pot pie with egg, and finally dessert was potato candy pie… 1-10 enjoyed ☺️

Alma Bea’s great food, friendly service and unpretentious atmosphere, won us over. We got the deviled egg appetizer, then goat cheese quiche and shakshuka entrees - all were delicious, perfectly cooked and beautifully prepared. Our server, helped us navigate the menu and gave us honest recommendations. Finally the atmosphere was laid back and unpretentious; soft lighting, exposed beams and lots of wood grain. We’ll be back, for sure.
