A fascinating side story about what happened to the indigenous people during WW2. Although it didn't end up being important militarily they were forced to move as a preventive measure. The real damage to their homes and ultimately their way of life was not from the Japanese. Which is recognized.

Important place to visit! I had virtually no knowledge of the occurrences on these islands during WWII. The museum's exhibits read like a novel. They also have a film that brings the time period alive. Bring a Kleenex. It is our duty to be informed.

Need to see when in Dutch Harbor. Opened early for cruise ship in port. But that made it a bit crowded and hard to read everything they have posted, and there is a lot of that. Opens your eyes to what was happening back during WW2.

Interesting info regarding WWII and the forced relocation of natives, the poor care they received, and their homes and churches being damaged.
