Really if you’ve been to one Alchemist you’ve pretty much know the quality you’re going to get. It’s just the locations that change based on where they are.
This one is probably one of the more sterile looking ones given it’s in this big box cookie cutter condo complex called the Cumulus where somehow a sandblasted siding along a portion of the building makes it cloudy.

It’s impressive from afar but I’m not a fan of these cafes since pretty much all the residents live inside of them when they’re not in their apartments.
So if you’re coming to sit in you might find it hard because most of the tech bros and tech sis take up all seating.
You can park in the complex’s lot and get validated nearby.

I love the coffee and the different selections they have. My go-to order is the New Orleans Cold Brew, which I highly recommend. I have not tried the food, but the pastries, especially the strawberry croissant, are delicious. The environment is excellent, with nice music, clean restrooms, and lots of natural light. There is some nice outdoor seating in the little park as well. Easy parking is available in Whole Foods as the coffee shop validates with purchase. I love how they have a Cumulus District resident loyalty program with extra discounts. Shout out to Joe, the manager, for keeping things in tip-top shape and the entire team for always being such a friendly face to wake up to when getting coffee.

Their caramel latte with oat milk is the best I’ve ever tried! Most places struggle to make it as good as a latte with regular milk, but their oat milk latte makes you wanna order that instead! 100% recommend!!

Cappuccino was great! The ham & cheese croissant was good but it could be better if it was warmed up better. The insides were still a little cold.

I know this is tricky as I love ham and cheese croissants and they’re the hardest things to heat up coz you have to not burn the bread but also heat the ham and cheese inside.

The best way really is to use the bake function of an oven or an oven toaster. But that takes time. Usually 8-10 mins. And for a fast service cafe, that’s hard to do I guess 🙏🏼

Getting the cons out of the way:
- Like another reviewer, the 'warmed up' food is still cold inside (almond croissant in my case)
- music choice could be much better, but I understand this is subjective, so i won't remove a star. but it is loud, and the selection is not good. wish it was just a bit more refined / coffeeshop vibe, or at least, less vocal-heavy.

Pros:
great decor & ambience (aside from the music), service, clean, coffee was great, prices on par with market.
i love that there are many outlets available for laptops. and have easy access to adjust shades.

better music would go such a long way! lol

We just discovered this coffee shop in the area. It's cozy & bright with nice blends of different coffee options. My only con was the choice of music was bit loud and distracting.

I’m so happy they’re in Culver City now! I don’t have to drive all the way to ktown. Alchemist coffee is probably by favorite coffee spot in LA. Whenever I have friends visiting, I always bring them here and they’re always amazed by it. If you want strong coffee, this is the place to be.
