Literally 15/10 stars. This was the MOST INCREDIBLE experience! We were treated with the utmost kindness and professionalism from the start. You could tell the dogs were well loved and that they love their lives! Our mushing guide Kaci is a queen and answered questions readily and with humor. The owner Matt took a video of our start and shared it with us all and he had hot chocolate for us at the end. If you are even remotely thinking you might want to try a dog sled tour, without a doubt go with Alaskan Husky Adventures! You will have the most unforgettable time!

Matt and Travis were great to work with. All of the dogs are extremely friendly and definitely get jealous when you say hi to the other dogs so make sure you go and say hi to every single one of them! 🙂 This experience was great. The dogs are extremely well trained, and followed directions without hesitation. Matt and Travis take great care of there dogs, everyone is healthy and happy. They told us all about Alaskan Husky Adventures, how it started, how they care for their dogs and even showed us the trails for Iditarod. Also, at the end, Matt made us some amazing hot chocolate. What an amazing experience this was. We will definitely be back again. Thanks for a great time guys! FYI Koa stole my heart, as you can see from the picture! 🥹

Alaskan husky adventures was a true dog sledding experience with Iditarod Alaskan huskies and guides that have actually raced in the Iditarod. It was so beautiful out on their course and the dogs were so happy, loving and well taken care of. We got to help drive the sled and Kaci and Jaren took great care of my 4 kids, myself, my mom and husband. It was an experience we’ll never forget. 5 ⭐️

We recently had the pleasure of visiting Alaska Husky Adventures, and it was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, the passion and dedication of the staff and owners were evident. Meeting the dogs was a highlight—these incredible animals are not only friendly and enthusiastic but also boast impressive credentials, with several having completed the grueling Iditarod race.

The summer mushing run was a unique and exhilarating experience. We rode in mushing carts that had no motors, which meant the only sounds were the gentle rustling of the forest and the rhythmic padding of the dogs' paws on the ground. This quiet, natural setting made the adventure even more magical.

It’s clear that the team at Alaska Husky Adventures genuinely loves their dogs and is committed to their well-being. The care and respect they show is inspiring, making the entire experience both thrilling and heartwarming. Moreover, knowing that my tourism dollars are directly contributing to the care and training of these remarkable animals and supporting their success in future races adds even more value to this unforgettable experience. There’s truly no better way to spend your money than on an adventure that also supports such a worthy cause.

ONE-Derful experience-misspelling intentional as it was a ONEce and a lifetime experience. We arrived about 15 minutes before our scheduled time. Oh, directions and details were on point. We arrived, bundled the the ultimate level of comfort and warmth. They explained the process, set us up with the sleds and the adventure began. Experiencing the backcountry of the Alaskan frontier…in the comfort of a dog sled. Who says that so often? Who says that -yes; anyONE who went to AHA. The guides are FUR-tabulous, have a welth of information, are cheerful and sure do love their 4 pawed pals. Some even do the Ididarod! I did not bring my African Grey pal-he squalks ajd talks …and wouldn’t appreciate the cold. While riding the fur-train…enjoy the scenary, ask your host questions and please have fun. Tell em Arlo sent ya! Please mark as helpful, follow my adventures and honest reviews and feedback. ENJOY the time of your life!

Very well run environment, the tour, the history of the Iditarod race, and the dog sled ride were amazing and worth the visit! Liz, Dane and Carrie were awesome guides. I definitely recommend this tour and experience.

SOOOO glad I got the Alaska Husky Adventures brochure in the Log Cabin Visitor Center in downtown Anchorage. This was such a fun experience! Kaci, my tour guide and former Iditarod participant, was super friendly and super informative - I learned so much about the dogs, the training and the race. If you're driving from Anchorage, it'll take you about 90 minutes to get to Willow (the actual start of the Iditarod race), but it's an easy (and beautiful!) drive. I was originally going to take a dogsled tour in Girdwood, but I am SUPER glad the visitor center showed me other dogsled tour options. There are so many things to do in Alaska and I would HIGHLY recommend putting this tour on your list!
