I highly recommend this your as it was a more intimate option in a smaller vessel. Indoor seating and heat were cozy and comfortable. There is a toilet to use (no buckets) They had granola bars, sparkling water, and coffee available. Captain Scott has been to the glacier several hundred times and had wonderful stories and information to share during the tour.

Just hanging out in the boat waiting for parts of the glacier to fall. Hearing to the ice tapping and scrapping against the boat. Listening to the ice crackle and release air. It was like floating at the top of an iced tea. Looking for the mountain goats and seagull babies. Trying to get closer to the harbor seals 🦭 and there pups these last couple weeks that they’re together. Hearing the delayed cracking of some part of the iceberg and trying to see where parts will fall and if you can see them emerge after the plunge.

I've been fortunate enough to travel to some amazing places in my life, but this trip really stands out to me. The scenery was like nothing I'd ever seen before, it was almost unreal. Both the glacier itself and the views along the journey are stunning! And Captain Scott is incredibly knowledgeable about glaciers and their mechanics, and was very enthusiastic to share that knowledge with us. He's been doing these tours for quite a while, and you can tell that he still loves getting to share the experience with others! As excited as we all were in getting to see a huge chunk of glacier fall off into the waters and become an iceberg, you could tell that he was just as excited for us getting to see it. I fully recommend this tour to anyone, I will treasure this experience for my life.

Scott has been in Petersburg for more than 20 years and knows the waters intimately.
Our trip we saw it all.
Humpbacks, orca, porpoises, seals, eagles.
Amazing fields of iceberg “sculptures”
We go up real close the the Le Conte glacier, the fastest moving glacier in the world 90 ft a day.
Big calfing events.
Scott was great company and a wealth of info

The Leconte Glacier Tour was one of the most amazing experiences that I’ve ever had. Captain Scott knew all the great spots to check out and took us up very close to the glacier. I would highly recommend!!
