We went on a zipline excursion as part of a cruise. There were about 5 major ziplines and some fun high-ropes obstacle courses. What I didn't expect was for the guides to be so friendly and personable. By the time the zipline experience ended, I felt like we were practically best friends with our guides -- both Sophia and Josh are unique, rare people. Of course, the high ropes experience puts one in a vulnerable position that prompts greater trust and bonding. But still, I really enjoyed talking with them and learning about their lives and why they were in Alaska, etc.

Back to ziplining, this is fun and you shouldn't be intimidated in the least due to your age or physical shape. It's mostly a matter of jumping off a wooden platform and gliding along a cable to another platform at a lower elevation.

The excursion lasted several hours. No one fell, no one died, no one cried. It was great. Super safe and easygoing. My top tip: Get to know your guides. It can be an incredibly rewarding human experience.

What an incredible Alaskan experience! Zoe, Audrey, and Cole made the Summit Lake Canoe tour absolutely smashing. Zoe gave detailed info about the native and gold rush history, geography, and nature while riding up the White Pass, AND guided us in the canoe. Cole and Audrey were SUPER(!) helpful in providing rain and wind gear to protect us from the chill of the Tormented Valley and made sure we were safe from ANY harm. We went on a short hike together down to the sand bar along Summit Lake where we were given a safety briefing before loading carefully into the STURDY canoes. We rowed along, and it was quite doable for all ages - spotted some merganzers, sand pipers, and roaming tourists on the shore. It was an excellent jaunt into Canada, 10/10 would do again! I especially loved going through both US and Canadian customs - we were not stowing any contraband so the process went smoothly with no altercations. Thanks AMG ☀️

If you like adventure combined with 30-year-old hunky, bearded mountain men, this is for you. The rockclimbing/rappelling guides were friendly, encouraging, and knowledgeable. Matt narrated a fellow timid climber through every foot hold and hand grab; it was hard not to develop a crush on him. All the guides made us feel comfortable and capable of meeting the challenge.

We had an amazing tour led by Sam, Dylan, and Colton. They kept the energy high throughout the whole tour and made us feel like we were in good hands. The zip lines were a lot of fun with excellent views of the nearby peaks. Very clean and well maintained outdoor center and only a short drive from town. Great tours for families. The merch could be better priced ($20 for a beanie?) but other than that everything was awesome!
