Overall was a very great experience, nice small camp, with a couple small separate cabins. The owners (who were incredibly kind) were actually staying on site, so if any (which there weren't) problems arose, they could help us quickly. They provided us with great accommodations and great experiences. They also used their connections to help us get our fish processed quickly so we could get it all out the door and on the plane on time, which was amazing to have. They gave us new adventures everyday, so you just were not doing the same type of fishing for the whole week. The food provided was overall very good, a nice home cooked meal every night. The staff along with the owners were very nice and helpful. Overall, like I said it was a great experience and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to fish in the breath taking state of Alaska.

This was my second trip to Hooksetters Lodge. Glen and Karen continue to do an outstanding job. Great price and a bunch of awesome fishing charters.||Carmen in the kitchen prepares all the meals with excellence….. ||Wendy helps out around the lodge and just an awesome experience.||Thanks Glen and Karen!

Great accommodations and guided tours for novice and experienced fishermen alike. All inclusive with excellent dinner meals. Conveniently located between kanai and soldotna . Only 2.5 scenic drive from anchorage. Owners are experienced and very helpful.

My dad and I stayed at Alaska Hooksetters this August, and the service as well as fishing was excellent. If you want to have an amazing fishing trip in Alaska without worrying about where to fish or get your next meal this is the place to go. The lodges themselves are clean and comfortable it is easy to get a good night's sleep. The food is amazing, I was especially impressed with the to put you on the fish. I fished for silvers on the Kenai and Kasilof, and Halibut out of homer. Everyday the guides went out of their way to ensure we went home with some really nice fish. Overall I was extremely impressed Alaska Hooksetters and Russell Fishing they exceeded my expectations, I will be returning to Alaska and it will be with Alaska Hooksetters and Russell Fishing.

The lodge is great, the food was excellent and the fishing was next level.||||The guides were knowledgeable and really worked to put us on the fish. I stayed with my brother and two sons and fished for 5 days and caught limits on 4 of the 5 days. ||||They have really figured it out and every aspect of our trip was seamless.||||Make sure to do the fly in to Wolverine Creek - limits of sockeye within 25 feet of bears!

Just wrapped up a week at Hooksetters. Russell Fishing Co completely took care of my group. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are taken care of. The fishing was absolutely amazing. The guides were professional and helpful. Every day we caught amazing fish, met awesome people, and experienced Alaska like never before. I highly recommend checking out Hooksetters if you are looking for an awesome fishing trip

My husband and I couldn't have had a better time!
The fishing was unbelievable.
The scenery was incredible.
It was so convenient having all our trips planned out for us then being able to come back and have appetizers and then dinner ready for us.
Glen and Rachel were fabulous making sure we got the trips we wanted.
Heather and Carmen were so great.
All our guides were fabulous and made sure we had great days fishing.
We really couldn't have had a better time!

We had a group of 9 guys and had a great trip! The staff was very friendly and offered a family atmosphere that makes you feel like your part of the family. They offer a great variety of guided fishing trips that are well coordinated and fun. And if you haven't had enough fishing they set you up with fishing gear and point you in the direction of some good fishing spots. Most importantly after a day of fishing you come back to the lodge for a full on 5 star meal that is delicious!
Overall a great way to spent time in Alaska and I will definitely return to this lodge again.
