Wounderful Day Trip to Juneau, seen a lot of wildlife (Whales, Sea Lions, Seals, Sea Otters, Eagles...). Worth the money, definitely!! Captain Ketch and his wonderful co-service Jessica made it really great. Good food, perfect explanations!! To recommend definitely!!

We had an absolutely phenomenal trip with Captain George and Rio. We saw whales, porpoises, eagles, sea lions, many unique birds & jumping salmon among other Alaskan wildlife. The views were incredible and we were able to take in many waterfalls, mountains and glaciers. The Captain and Rio were able to answer any questions that we had regarding our surroundings. We were served hot coffee, tea, yummy blueberry muffins and a delicious smoked salmon chowder with sour dough bread and a chocolate chip cookie. We cannot recommend this tour enough!! It is a must do while in the area.

Wowza! The trip yesterday from Skagway to Juneau and back did not disappoint! The weather was absolutely perfect, Captain Ketch and Rio were phenomenal guides, and the marine wildlife was plentiful.

The morning trip started out on time in Skagway. Boarding was easy and the vessel was very clean and spacious. We stopped in Haines to pick up more passengers and were on our way!

Shortly into our journey we spotted a colony of sea lions basking on the rocks. Captain Ketch stopped nearby so we could hear their calls and take photos - all while remaining a respectful distance away so as not to disturb them.

We continued on and it didn't take long to spot our first humpback whale! What an amazing sight!
After again stopping for photos and remaining a respectful distance away - we kept going.

Rio served coffee, tea and provided us with a freshly baked Blueberry muffin.

On the journey, Captain Ketch kept us very well informed about the land, the history, and many interesting facts and stories.

We saw SO many whales, porpoise, eagles, and harbor seals. We even spotted a sea otter out floating in the middle of the fjord - clearly unbothered by our presence.

Our arrival in the busy Auke Bay harbor was beautiful, and we made our way to the motorcoach for the transfer to the downtown core at Marine Park. Our bus driver - Dave - had many stories to share as he toured us around. He was delightfully accomodating to fellow passengers!

Our time in Juneau was spent doing various activities (mine were geocaching and some shopping, my husband did a delightful - to him - grind of a hike!). We met back at Marine Park and boarded the coach back to the harbor. Dave showed us some more interesting sites as we made our way back.

On board the catamaran again - we left Juneau and not long after - more whales! So many more whales! We saw more seals, porpoise, eagles, a veritable plethora of Marine life!

Captain Ketch kept up with providing us with interesting facts and lore on the trip and was very welcoming to questions!

Rio served delicious salmon chowder, sourdough bread and a cookie as well as beverages.

After a quick stop in Haines to drop off passengers, we continued to our destination of Skagway.

What an exhilarating and gorgeous day we had! It was definitely a bucket list trip for us!

I would HIGHLY recommend this trip and this company to everyone!!!

An excellent ride to Juneau. Starts in Skagway, goes to Haines to pick up more people. Fantastic, friendly staff and captain. Had a wonderful trip. The muffins in the morning are incredible! Thanks Rio for everything.

Just finished the round trip Skagway & Juneau today. Highly recommended, the crew Ketch & Jessica were fantastic. This family run business (thanks to Alison) was the only one in all of Alaska that allowed us to bring our 5lbs Chihuahua on board, as long as it stayed inside it’s carrier. That’s something we really appreciated!! The complimentary food was absolutely delicious. Really have to try that homemade smoked salmon chowder! Thanks again for a fantastic day,!

This was the most incredible trip to Juneau ever! The staff were so courteous and kind. There was delicious food and hot drinks available free of charge. What made our experience extra special was the fact that the captain brought us to see so many whales and other animals. He was so knowledgeable and gave us so many opportunities to see wildlife including seals, sea lions, doll porpoises, and bald eagles. I’d highly recommend this company for your ferry or day trip to Juneau.

This is a small family run business. You can be picked up in either Skagway (closer to the Canadian border), or Haines, Alaska. It is an amazing way to travel to Juneau. You get to see so much wildlife (way more than one of those overpriced and slightly invasive whale watching boat tickets sold to the people on the cruise ships). The staff are very knowledgeable about the wildlife, especially Jessica (the original owners daughter) and if you are lucky, you get to see whales up close without disturbing them. It is a once in a lifetime experience. The owner recently sold the company to his son Ketch who is an excellent tour guide as well. We asked for directions at the drop off stop and instead he offered to drop us off right at our hotel. The price is very reasonable considering you get a round trip boat ride, a bus ride into downtown Juneau from the port, a tour of the beautiful scenery and wildlife, as well as amazing muffins served for breakfast on your way to Juneau (which are made at a local Haines bakery), as well as a homemade salmon chowder on the trip back to Skagway. We were travelling with an infant and Jessica kindly saved us seats with a table which made things much easier. I would recommend this ride to Juneau to anyone I know.

By far the best way to visit to Juneau from Skagway. Saw tons of whales, dolphins, bald eagles & waterfalls. Jessica and Katch were friendly, funny and fantastic guides / hosts. The food that was included (but not noted in their ad) was absolutely outstanding. Would not miss a chance to take this tour if you are in Skagway and looking to see stunning views of the Alaska coastline and visit Juneau.
