It was OK. Definitely not great. I have to say that the cabin itself is pretty nice. With some attention to detail and some added security measures, it could be a comfortable place for guests. Our first impression was not good. The road to the cabins is not well maintained. I know it has been a very rainy summer in Alaska and that makes it hard to do road maintenance. But they could make more of an effort - bring in some gravel and fill some holes at least. They never sent me check-in instructions or any information at all. We didn't even know which cabin we were in. I had to call the owners to find out. But they were quick to reply and sent us all the info right away. From the condition of the front door, it's apparent that there have been some break-ins. There are several deep marks along the edge where a crowbar has been used to break the door open. So that didn't make us feel real comfortable with the area. Our first night there, I was watching TV and noticed someone on the front porch. I opened the door and confronted them. They pretended to be looking for someplace but the address they gave wasn't even on the same street. I looked up the address after they left and it turned out to be some trashy run-down apartment building about a quarter mile away. I'm pretty sure they were squatters looking for a vacant cabin to break into. We didn't feel safe leaving our belongings there while we went out during the day. We packed up and took it all with us. Very inconvenient, but since this place is posted as non-refundable, what choice did we have? So, besides all that, the cabin was not very clean. The beds were very uncomfortable. It was listed as having 2 queen beds and a futon. I'm thinking a futon that lays out into a bed - like at least a single size mattress. Nope - it's just a chair that lays back and an ottoman that slides up to it. I guess a little kid could sleep on it. But I certainly couldn't. Also, the Rinnai tankless water heater doesn't work correctly. It starts up and runs just a couple minutes then shuts back off and freezes you. After several minutes it fires back up and runs just long enough to heat the water up again and then shuts back off again. And when it's running, I can smell gas fumes in the bathroom. So it might not be vented correctly. There's an extension cord through a hole in the bathroom floor to supply power to the water heater. So, that makes me wonder if it was installed by a professional. That just doesn't seem like something a professional plumber would have done. Surely that doesn't meet Alaska building code, right? Anyway, we paid $500 for 2 nights. For that price I expected better accommodations. As former AirBnB hosts ourselves, we know first-hand what it takes to make a truly great guest experience. This place falls short in many ways. Next time, I'll spend a little more and stay at a reputable resort in the area.

These cabins are absolutely cute they are roomy and clean! This was our first ever trip to Alaska and these cabins did not disappoint. From this point on when my family and I come to Alaska this will be our go to place as long as they have an opening. They quiet and you have all the privacy in the world I can't say enough good things about this place. Management is nice and professional thanks Kozey Cabins for a great mini vacation.

Beautiful, kozy cabins, well maintained in a beautiful park-like setting. Quiet with friendly hosts. The beds are comfortable & the kitchen is well equipped. Wayne, his wife & their dogs were wonderful. We enjoyed our daily visits with Redneck & Riley. Thank you so very much for allowing us to wash our motorcycles & Jenni for allowing us to extend our stay for several days.
Try Mack's Char Shack Fusion BBQ. Gourmet BBQ & the best we've had!

The location is near all you need to enjoy this area of Alaska.

Alaska Kozey Cabins is a great place to stay when you want to skip the chain hotel and be more "at home". We were on business in the area for about a month and stayed a week here.

We had a large A frame cabin with tons of space and charming cabin in the woods decor. The area is super quiet and wooded and even though there is a road and other cabins, you won't hear them at all. The owners live on the property and are there if you need help, but they don't bother you or make a fuss. I would definitely recommend this cabin motel and would stay here again.😀 Thanks for a great visit!

Had business in Anchorage. Could have stayed in Anchorage, there are plenty of choices. How ever the Comfy Cabin are the best choice for a bit of country with city convenience, It was quiet, private, and peaceful. The cabin was clean and comfortable. I traveled with my two dogs and Ginny was more than happy to accommodate their needs. She is an exceptional person giving you a unique experience minutes away from all you could ask for. Would definitely visit again.

The cabins are very cute and "Kozey". They are clean and are able to sleep 6 comfortably. Our cabin had two queen beds in the loft and one queen bed in the downstairs bedroom. The cabin came fully equipped with kitchen supplies, full size fridge, full size stove/ oven, microwave, coffee pot, toaster. There was plenty of towels and extra toilet paper in the bathroom. There was even a grill on the front porch. Comfy couches and a TV with several channels, although we didn't watch much TV because well let's face it your in ALASKA!!! Why would you watch TV when there is so much to see and do! The cabins were quiet, the owner is very pleasant, and the cabins are only a few miles from downtown wasilla with stores, restaurants, gas stations, and the highway. I have already recommended this place to family and friends and I will definitely go back if I find myself in Alaska again!! Also, they are very affordable! So much nicer and cheaper than a hotel room and you get more bang for your buck with a full kitchen and more space to move around.
