My wife and I have stayed in many, many places over the years, including several bed and breakfasts. We have never stayed in a nicer place. We stayed for eleven nights while visiting our grandson, who is serving in the Air Force in Anchorage. Our stay was fantastic! ||Brigitte is the perfect hostess. She was so helpful in every way and could not do enough for us!||The Garden Suite was very well furnished. There was all kinds of tourist information. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything that one could want. The whole suite was spotless. ||The location is very good, in a quiet neighborhood, close to stores and eating places.||I checked the prices of other places in the area and the rates here were about half |of what the others were asking.||If you are looking for a place to stay in the Anchorage area, the Alaska Chalet Bed and Breakfast can't be beat!

We stayed here for 5 nites in June 2024 before going on an Alaskan cruise. Bridgette was more than accommodating, welcomed us in with lots of breakfast foods to get us started each day. It was more than enough! The beds were comfy, the entire chalet was very spacious at 800 sq ft and the bathroom was very large. Even the bathroom was stocked with things we may have needed during our stay which was a wonderful surprise. This lodging is bit outside of Anchorage but just a quick drive each day so it was off the beaten path but worth the short time to drive. there is a scenic overlook just around the corner, and the local town of Eagle River has everything you need for your stay. We had an outside deck to enjoy morning coffee or evening cocktails. The chalet is super quiet and a peaceful place to enjoy all the beauty and wildlife that Alaska Offers. I highly recommend this to anyone! We also recommend the Outbound Heli Adventures the 2 landing Chugach Explorer that is 30 minutes away - landing on a glacier is breathtaking !!

Bridgette was quite honestly the best host I have ever encountered! The chalet is beyond beautiful with every home comfort you could wish for! The house is impeccably clean, beautifully decorated in the most wonderful area! The beds are SO comfortable and we couldn’t have wished for a better experience. We even saw a bear! We honestly can’t rate the chalet or the host highly enough, I can’t encourage you enough to book this b&b, you will have the most wonderful and relaxing time. Thank you so much for your lovely hospitality Bridgette, we hope that we can come back and stay with you again one day! Xx

My husband and I just finished up a three night stay here while visiting Alaska. We stayed in the Alaska Chalet Suite. Our area was very spacious with a small kitchen, living room area, bedroom, and bath with large whirlpool tub. Eagle River is just a short 25 minute drive to downtown Anchorage. Brigitte, the owner, was very kind and helpful, starting several weeks before our trip when we called to ask questions before making a reservation. Because of COVID, Brigitte is not cooking breakfast but did offer a nice welcome basket with items like yogurt, eggs, juice, fresh fruit, and toast. We found the house to be very reasonably priced, clean and comfortable and would definitely stay again if in the area.

This was the perfect place for my husband and me to enjoy time away by ourselves. We were visiting family in Eagle River after not seeing them for 3 yrs thanks to Covid. The place was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Brigette provided all we needed for a very relaxing stay. She asked ahead of time what we might want in our welcome package and even included a giant pretzel for my husband. I would highly recommend this place and we plan to keep it in mind for any future visits to the family there. Thanks, Brigette.

Our stay at Alaska Chalet was too short! We were here with many errands to run and the Garden suite was a perfect home base for us as we drove around the area. Brigitte really has thought of everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The bed and bed linens were so deluxe and comfortable. In the evenings to relax, we sat outside in the lovely garden, under blossoming trees as the weather was gorgeous and we met the neighbour and the neighbours' dogs. It really felt like we were always a part of the neighbourhood. The unit has all kinds of information about the surrounding area and attractions. There is also a wonderful collection of local art, Brigitte is the perfect ambassador for the area. We can't wait to get back to Alaska and would highly recommend staying here if you are travelling near Anchorage.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Alaska Chalet B&B. It was very easy to find. The Chalet Suite was perfect for us with it's 2 bedrooms, a sitting room, a deck and a small kitchenette. The location was excellent for our daily road trips north and south of Eagle River. Brigitte was a wonderful host and had great ideas of what to see and where to go. We would highly recommend this B&B for your next trip.

This was the perfect place for me and my husband to spend time by ourselves. We were visiting family we had not seen in 3 yrs thanks to Covid. We would return here every evening to unwind from a hectic day. It was such a very quiet location. The place was clean, comfortable and conveniently located to our family. Brigette was kind and gracious and even asked about what we wanted in our welcome basket before we came so she could include a giant pretzel for my husband! The place had everything we needed and we were very satisfied. We will definitely consider staying here on a future trip to the family. Thanks much, Brigette!
