I spent a night at Alaska Adventure Cabins (AAC) on the weekend of January 10-11, 2025. I needed a break from my very stressful job and chose to spend that time at AAC. The time there was just what I needed. The view from the Dovetail Cabin room was quite frankly breath-taking. It was a view of the bay and the surrounding mountains. The cabin itself was beautifully appointed with carefully chosen pieces that represented the spirit of Alaska. I was very appreciative of this. I met Evelyn, who owns the AAC, and she was so kind and considerate of me and what I needed for my stay. I have only the best to say about her and my stay with AAC. Do not hesitate to book a space here and spend some time - I promise you will not regret it. I myself intent to return in the very near future.

Even though we live only 70 miles from Homer, we travel there often. Alaska Advebture Cabins was the perfect place to stay for a 3 day getaway during New Year's Eve as we go into 2025. The "Dovetail Cabin" sits on a bluff with outstanding views of Kachemak Bay and the mountains and glaciers of Kachemak Bay State Park. The bathroom is a bit small but just fine for the two of us. We'd stay here again on any overnight trips to Homer.

Location, location, location best describes this place. I loved my unique cabin, a train caboose. I was here in mid October, so the decorative gas fire place made for a warm and cozy spot. The addition of the deck allows you to view the Kachemak Bay which is spectacular. The view from the bedroom window was worth waking up to see it illuminate gradually with the sunrise. The bonus was drinking coffee on the deck while watching moose graze close by.

It was a total fluke that we ended up booking the "Dovetail Log Cabin." When we were pulling up hotels in the area, it popped up as a special price and so beautiful, we had to book. Location is right off Sterling Hwy, about 2 min drive to Homer. And although we were off the Main Road, we slept very well! I didn't notice the sound of cars at all. The view was beyond Amazing!! That was so much more than anything I could have dreamed of. The queen bed, in upper loft, is situated so you wake to the beautiful sun rising over the Homer Spit and along the mountain range. In the evening we sat in the living area and enjoyed the beautiful sunsets beyond the ocean and volcano! ||The only caution I have to give is that the bedroom, with twin beds, does not have a door entry through the main cabin. You have to go outside to enter. This did not effect our stay, as an adult stayed in that room. If I was planning to use it for young children, it would not be acceptable to me. There is also a spiral staircase, in the main cabin. Which was fine, we just had to keep a close watch on our 19mo. old. We do that anyway.||The cabin was clean and had what we needed. Another plus is it's open year around!! Would definitely be looking to stay again on future visits!!

Excellent view close to town with an excellent host that is very accommodating. Outside barbeque grill provided so easy to make a lunch or dinner during your stay as an alternative to going out to eat for all your meals. Mini kitchen inside well stocked which worked out great in preparing breakfast without the need to getting dressed up to go somewhere.

This is our favorite place to stay in Homer. We’ve been to this property several times, both alone as a couple as well as with visiting family. Each time we stayed in a different cabin and they all have incredible views. We really enjoyed having a full kitchen to make breakfast as well as dinner a few nights when we didn’t feel like dealing with the restaurant hassle in town. The kids loved to just look out the window and try to spot wildlife. They’ve added a hot tub to the property recently and we got to sit in that one night and look up at the northern lights. The owner’s always running around the property if you have questions or need help with anything. Super convenient location off the main road into town and close to a couple great hiking

My friend flew out from VA to visit for the holidays & I could not imagine a more beautiful location for her to experience Homer. The cabin is super cute & comfy and the views are spectacular.

A wonderful place to stay in Homer, Alaska with the unique Dovetail Cabin on a bluff overlooking Kachemak Bay. A 3 night stay over New Year's 2025 and it was a perfect relaxing getaway. Even though we live only 70 miles away in Soldotna, AK., we will stay with Alaska Adventure Cabins again on a future trip as we love Homer and all it has to offer.
