Great owners and park! BUT...unwelcoming long-term RVers.

Stayed here mid-Jan 2024.
Back-in FHU 50 amp. Gravel site with concrete patio. Site #03 in section closest to the road.

Staff: Check-in with Zita (Z) was easy and she is extremely nice and welcoming.
Overall vibe: The RV park's long-term tenants were NOT welcoming to us short-term folks even though we are quiet and rarely even sit outside. It's not a deal-breaker, but something to be aware of.
Sites: Gravel with concrete patio. Normal sized sites, not big or small. Well-maintained
Grounds: Clean and maintained really well. Coded padlock on dumpster so make sure you remember the code.
Bathrooms/Showers: Did not use.
Laundry: Did not use.
Pool: Did not use.
Location: Gas and groceries are directly across the street. Restaurants within 5-10 min. 35 min from Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.
Access: The RV park is directly off of the main road and easy to pull in.
Near highway: Yes. It's not an interstate but it is the one and only main road running from Gila Bend to the border so there is a good amount of regular traffic.
Near train: No.
Campground WiFi: Unable to connect to it.
Cell: Verizon worked well enough for vpn work. Could stream movies just fine.
Cell: AT&T slightly spotty but worked well enough for vpn work. Could stream movies but was some buffering along the way.

Stayed four nights in the upper campground which is mostly small rock, no dirt, so my dog stayed very clean. Adjacent to a defunct drive in theater so there is ample room for dog walking. Everything worked as it should, except the Cable TV wasn't the best. There is a grocery store and hardware store directly across the street. which is convenient There are a lot of Snowbirds that winter there but most of them were flying North soon. There is a free Firearm Range about five miles North of the park and a Tin Cup golf course also about seven miles North, so don't bring your new PXGs. I would defiantly stay there again.|

This park is immaculate! The sites, the bathrooms, the laundry room/library, and the garden are all super nice. Thanks Zita and husband! Also, thanks for being so kind, making sure any issue that arises is attended to promptly! Another nice thing about this park is the others staying there are so thoughtful, and friendly! Will definitely be back!

We stayed at Ajo Heights for 7 days. Really good little park. Sites are large and completely level. Wifi was a little iffy. Everything is super clean and well maintained. Park is very quiet. We would definitely stay again.

Excellent camping experience at Ajo Heights RV Park, Zita was an exceptional hostess and all the sites were clean and well maintained. All the other RV Campers also added to a pleasant traveling experience. The laundry room and site restrooms were also clean and well maintained. I will definitely be returning soon.......thank you

Appreciate Zita for working with us for last minute reservations. She was very accommodating. The rec room has a book exchange library and a couple of washers and driers which worked great. Being there in the off-season, it was very quiet. I'd definitely come back if I'm looking for an RV park on my next visit to Ajo.

This has to be the very best park to stay in Ajo, the site is so well maintained and easily accessible, the roads are wide and the facilities are great!! The laundry room , rec room and site restrooms are very clean, Carol & Kathy are awesome and very accommodating. The hookups are great and the Satellite TV is the best I have ever got in all my travels. The Rates are very fair and the people that stay here are very kind & welcoming pretty awesome too. The Location is great next to the gas station , Napa and the largest grocery store in town. Only complaint is there isn't more spots! make sure to call early to get you spot cause it fills up quickly!
