Probably one of the best hotels I ever stayed at!

I find it fascinating that hotel owners don't seem to understand what constitutes a pleasant stay for a traveler. I'm happy that Aiden understood this very well.

First, some context: I was booked by my company at DoubleTree by Hilton, in the Berkeley Marina. According to them, because it was a "Hilton", I'd be good.

That hotel was disgusting! The moment I got into my room I immediately started refreshing booking.com for Aiden but they were unfortunately full. I slept with my clothes on for 2 days until I was able to check in on this hotel.

The staff is awesome. Young team that always greets you with a smile and makes everything easy. The hotel itself is PERFECT. Super clean (for me, the most important thing in a room), location is perfect (near 7 Eleven, Starbucks, North Berkeley BART station, etc). The room was spacious, had good Internet, good TV, super comfortable bed with CLEAN sheets, etc.

The vending machine in the second floor was a good addition with AFFORDABLE snacks and drinks.

Everything in the room was new with little to no signs of wear.

Overall, I don't have a single negative thing to say about this hotel. It doesn't do a lot (doesn't have to). There's no excessive breakfasts or amenities. It does what it's supposed to do in the best way possible.

Not only have I recommend the HR department to start using this hotel going forward, this will continue being my goto place every time I'm in Berkeley.

To the management: please continue doing an amazing job. Continue with hygiene as the top priority and the rooms tidied up. With continuous maintenance you'll have years of 5 star reviews!

Great hotel! So clean. Room was spacious. Hotel was a 5 min walk to the BART, so it was easy to get around. The coffee in the lobby was delicious- I was obsessed - drank way too much every day! I also loved the Drybar products in the bathroom.

I've stayed here twice and really enjoyed it. It's a convenient location, the staff is very helpful, the rooms are clean/quiet/comfortable. They've got bikes you can borrow and drinks in the lobby, plus a very nice rooftop hangout. I've been able to find street parking. A good perch for exploring Berkeley. BART stop is just down the street and university is a nice mile or so walk. The neighborhood is grittier than Elwood or others, but was safe and quiet nonetheless. I'd stay there again.

This is a fine 3-star hotel. The staff was very quick to get our vehicle from the garage. The facility is modern and clean. The location is a mile from the closest edge of UC Berkeley and 2 miles from the stadium. Value seems comparable to other nearby hotels.

Pros: The windows in our room actually opened, the staff removed the last day from our trip via email when the app couldn’t, rooftop seating, 7Eleven right across the street, reasonably quiet

Cons: No fitness center, tight fit between beds and desk

Where do I start? ||||Location: less than a 10-minute ride from the Berkeley Amtrak station and I saw plenty of buses in the neighborhood as well. It never took us longer than a 15-minute walk or 10-minute car ride to get anywhere we had in our plans. ||||The room was lovely and spacious with lots of natural light. I was relaxing and uncluttered without feeling empty. ||||The manager Jeroen (phonetically: “yor-roon”) was a delight and I look forward to our next trip to Berkeley as we’ll definitely be staying at Aiden again. He was efficient and helpful when I messed something up about our reservation and I had just gotten off of a train where I couldn’t charge my phone. He allowed me to sit in the lounge area and charge my phone so I could get the information from my email about the promotion I was requesting being applied to our reservation. I was very flustered but he was so kind and reassuring that it was no problem that it calmed my anxiety down. Many front desks have felt rushed or uninterested, but he was the epitome of “great service” and I appreciated it more than I could express. ||||My partner was driving in and arrived after I did, he also commented on how helpful Jeroen was. ||||There were loaner bikes in the lobby for guest use which was also a nice touch.

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was awesome. Our room was a king bed. Small room but enough to move around. Loved that windows open a little. The fresh air is nice. Shower was amazing. Stayed hot and constant pressure. Great for a tall guy or gal. Area was OK. Didn't have any problems. Liked that a 7-11 was across the street. Perfect place to stay if going to concert in Berkeley. They offer a pay for breakfast and free coffee. Only complaint was TV remote barely worked.

We stayed in Berkeley to attend a concert at the Greek Theater and found this hotel to be a good experience. We were able to leave our car with the valet and Lyft to the show. They also have bikes you can use in the daytime. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it's beautiful inside, newly remodelled and super clean and green! We ordered breakfast in the morning which was good & reasonably priced. I would stay here again!

What a find! Hope this relatedly new hotel stays as pristine as it is now. The manager is welcoming and friendly. The room is comfortable, and the bathroom has all the amenities you need. Though we were only staying two days and were advised house keeping would be after we left, the hotel happily provided housekeeping services after our first night. The lobby is a mod and inviting place to hang out for a coffee as is the roof top terrace. We will be back.
