I have visited Mendocino over five times in the last few years and this was by far of my favorite hotel experience! The location is absolutely unbeatable - 15 to 20 minute walk into the town of Mendocino or just a couple minutes drive, and you’re about 10 to 20 feet from the ocean Bluffs, with a view of the crashing waves from the dining room
and many of the hotel suites/rooms. The complementary breakfast every morning was delicious, and the staff were all very attentive to craft everyone meals that fit their dietary restrictions and preferences. I will definitely be back! Thank you to everyone the Inn for an incredible experience!!

This was a wonderful bed and breakfast to stay at during a trip with my husband for his birthday weekend. We were greeted by Susan, who was very helpful in touring us around the property and providing restaurant suggestions. Our room was very spacious and well appointed with a jacuzzi tub, full shower, fireplace, a mini kitchen, and a deck with seats to enjoy the views. The property is located with a beautiful view of the coast line, and served a fresh hot breakfast every morning. We enjoyed fresh baked cookies, hot tea and coffee, and met other couples who were there and enjoying the same amenities and beauty.

A Perfect Coastal Retreat at Agate Cove Inn

We escaped the awful weather of Texas and arrived at Agate Cove Inn with hopes to relax and refresh. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the charm and beauty of Agate Cove Inn.

Service: Communication was flawless from start to finish. The staff was friendly and attentive, making our stay seamless and stress-free. J.B., the manager, was an absolute delight—always greeting us with a warm smile and genuine hospitality.

Dining: Breakfast was a highlight! Freshly prepared and served in a dining room with breathtaking ocean views, it was the perfect way to start each day.

Room & Location: We stayed in the Emerald Room, and it exceeded our expectations. The room was spotless, cozy, and offered picture-perfect views of the Pacific. We enjoyed sitting on our private porch, soaking in the serenity of the ocean and gardens. The inn's location was ideal, with easy access to Mendocino, Russian Gulch State Park, and other nearby attractions.

Agate Cove Inn provided a truly relaxing and memorable experience. We cannot wait to return to this hidden gem on the Mendocino coast. Highly recommend!

This was our third time staying at the Agate Cove Inn, needless to say we love staying there. From the stunning view from our room, the delicious breakfast (with ocean view), and the staff’s hospitality, they have returning guests with us. Honorable mention of their chia pudding at breakfast! So good! Fluffy eggs, soft potatoes, and flavorful sausage & bacon for breakfast.Definitely appreciated the fresh fruits and snacks in our room. Easy and quick check in and only a short drive from town. Never experienced any issues with cleanliness or lack of communication. Definitely will be back when we need a Mendocino trip!

We recently stayed at Agate Cove Inn for a few nights and had the most incredible time! It was not only the ocean view room that made our stay memorable, but the incredible service. The staff was so sweet and friendly, and JB went above and beyond to make us feel at home here. We will 100% be coming back!

Wonderful place! The manager was very friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast was delicious. Cookies provided for evening treats were scrumptious. The location is phenomenal. We are both really happy to have found this gem!

This was a picturesque and romantic place overlooking the beautiful Mendocina coast. The rooms were well appointed with a hot tub, fireplace, mini fridge, microwave, snacks, Keurig coffee pot, etc ..They served a wonderful full breakfast every morning within a dining room that overlooked the coast. Sunsets were beautiful on the patio of our room and in the lovely garden setting of the property. The inn keepers Susan and JB were very informative about the area, and the kitchen staff were all very nice. We also enjoyed the fresh baked cookies and homemade granola. All in all, a wonderful place that checked all of our boxes for a beautiful getaway. I would highly recommend staying here.

I stayed here for 1 night while traveling up the coast and I was very pleased with my stay! I called and booked over the phone and was given very helpful instructions to get into my cottage after hours. I wish I had the time to stay another night. I was in the Zircon Cottage towards the back and really enjoyed everything - the bed was comfortable (soft but not too soft), whirlpool tub, and very nice view. It was a cozy cottage that had everything I needed. It was a great place to unwind after a long day of traveling and I really enjoyed breakfast and the view! The garden areas on the grounds and tea room were such nice additions. I would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone in the area! One of the nicest stays I’ve had somewhere in a long time!
