Our room was clean, plenty large and had a good view but dealing with the owner was a hassle. We were told we needed to call her the day of our stay and give her an arrival time at the B&B. We did this but then she tried to guilt us and tell us she had to run to town and asked us to take our time getting to the B&B. After visiting the Nature Conservation Center in Girdwood and killing some time we called again to say were on our way and this time she told us to hurry up and get there. When we did arrive she had difficulty running the credit card through on her iPad and we had to wait while she called tech support. We booked 3 months in advance and she still didn't have check-in time or payment figured out.

Best place to stay in Anchorage to experience comfort, home, tidyness, peacefulness, wildlife and beauty of nature. Owner Debi was wonderful. Though it's quite a drive from downtown, which is only 20 minutes by car, no buses around because it's on top of the mountains, therefore the view is incredible.

I booked this B&B for the first week of September 2014 back in February 2014. It was only chance that I emailed the owner to check payment methods and she answered saying that she could not take us after all but she had not bothered to tell me.
