After about 40 Airbnb stays this was the least liked. Too much old stuffy furniture for me, undersized AC, so up stairs rooms have noisy wall ac units. Only street parking. Front door and back door did not have deadbolt. Lots of clutter in kitchen. Unremarkable back yard. A separate rental in backyard converted garage. I wouldn't stay here again.

I stayed in the cottage part of the B&B for a work trip. It was very private, comfortable, and extremely clean. The bed was so very comfy! There was a nice quiche for me in the fridge for breakfast the next morning (along with a few other things - Coffee!!). The location is great as well - super walkable to anything you need. I'd certainly stay here again.

This was our last stop of a 10 day road trip. We booked it last minute and were pleasantly surprised, it was like coming home. Jody was a great hostess, the room was clean (The Den), cozy and the bed was exceptional, we didn't want to leave! ||The location isn't right downtown, but there's a bunch of great pubs in the area within walking distance. There is street parking only, and even with a car full of camping gear, we felt safe.Transit is maybe a 15 minute walk-ish. It takes you right downtown and it's fairly cheap...I think it was less than $10 for the day pass.||It's Victorian style, old and cozy...so if you're looking for modern and updated, this isn't the place for you. We love it...we're booking again this August!...and the price is reasonable for Portland!

My husband and I stayed there to bring in the New Year of a few years ago. Beautiful home. Such a pleasant stay. Bed room was perfect. Breakfast was awesome. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast. Very clean. I will go back. The bed was oh so comfy. Everything you need to do is in walking distance. Prices are great. Thank you for a wonderful time. Loved staying here, quick and easy check in, Internet available, shared bathrooms, but that is okay they were super clean and we are super cheap 🙂 Close to Downtown and also Broadway, Plenty of places to eat nearby. Blossoming Lotus Vegetarian/Vegan 4+ star. Petisco 4+ star. Milo's 4.5 = star.We loved the Portland city Grill downtown on 5th and Burnside, up 30 floors.. dress is business casual or suit. Fantastic view, $$$ for dinner, But worth every penny!!! We stayed in the Master bedroom and the bed was fantastic.. Thanks to Jody and Josh . Fantastic service 🙂

We stayed at the Painted Lady Inn on our drive south from Vancouver, BC. We reserved the cottage, which was spacious, pleasantly appointed and affordable. It included shabby chic couches and a fully-stocked kitchen with a French press, which Jody, the proprietress, readied for us after checking us in. The cottage was within walking distance to several restaurants and a Peet's coffee location. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet. In the morning, Jody brought us a lovely breakfast of fresh fruit, pastry and eggs. I would add this B and B to my collection.

I picked this place for our girls trip to Portland since we wanted a fun place to stay. It looked cute in the photos and all was well after booking. I checked the website when we landed in Portland to see what time we could check in and it was not until 3pm so we decided to go explore since we couldn't check in. I got a call later from the owner asking what time we would be there and this was at around 1pm. I was confused but was told that she would leave a key in a spot for us.

When we arrived there was not a lot of street parking but after stalking a car we found a spot in front of the house. The outside is really cute with a great porch. Inside is kind of an adventure. Great vintage pieces and good Victorian accents.

I asked the owner of there was anyone else staying the night we were and she said all but one room was full! We decided to haul our luggage upstairs to our room and check it out. The shared shower room upstairs was pretty dirty! There was dirt and ants in the shower and small black hairs.

We got back from dinner at 8pm and literally the house was dark. There was no one there. We tried finding a glass for water and found that the kitchen was barricaded with something behind the door stopping us from going in there.

When we woke up the next morning, still no one was there. I just wish the owner would have called us and told us we were the only ones there for security and safety reasons.

I would not stay here again.

PROS: We really liked the location and the size of the upstairs apartment. Also, we were not contacted by the owners at all while we were there, which was actually very respectful and nice. The apartment had everything we needed and was cozy for the most part. Beds were comfy, showers worked well (master bath was out-of-order/being totally remodeled), and the kitchen was actually pretty great. ||CONS: ||Okay, this place is called "The Painted Lady" and yet it looks as though it hasn't been touched by a paintbrush in 10 years. The whole place is beginning to peel, and is being overcome with a film of dirt. It needs a good pressure wash and scrub to get all the dirt and mildew off, followed by some basic repairs all over, followed by an exceptional paint job. I find it totally bizarre that a place called "The Painted Lady" was in such dire need of attention in the paint department. ||Also, the owners appear to have an obsession with sharing their library. There are like, 100 books in this place, including on the floor. Just very odd; all these books gave it a visiting-my-grandma vibe. A crystal dish filled with butterscotch candies would fit perfectly in here. Come on, we all know no one is going to read these books. Okay, maybe that one woman from Ohio who thinks it's quaint might read a chapter or two. Beyond that they equate to little more than totally wasted space that could have otherwise been used for fun, interactive stuff for families and couples to look at or do.||They also have a "we-tried" game collection. Like it was an afterthought. Either stock a bunch of great, popular games in good condition or just use the space for something else. ||Bring your own bluetooth speaker, DVDs and CDs unless you really, really like dull music and middle of the road dramas. Super vanilla selection of CDs and movies.||Anyways, it was alright. We won't be back, but maybe you'll dig it. Big place; enough for two couples or family of 4-5. Cozy. Warm. Quiet area. Close to downtown.
