We ended up going to A Latte Vino by accident. My wife and I were on a Saturday afternoon ride and had planned on trying a food truck we had heard about down past Case Grande. When the food truck was not there we were hungry and looking for a place for lunch. I was just riding around and came across this lovely little place. We are always up for trying a new place so we gave it a go and were plenty surprised. The food was very good, fresh and flavorful. You can tell they use high end ingredients and take pride in their kitchen. My wife ordered the half sandwich and soup and got the club and Tuscan chicken soup. The sandwich was delicious and had lots of flavor. The soup was a new one for us but it was very tasty and my wife now wants to find a recipe to make a similar soup at home. I had the Philly cheesesteak and fires. I ordered and half portion and it was plenty for me. The sandwich was very tender and just and had complex flavors that work so well together. Even though it is 45 minutes form out house we will be coming back again.

Attractive bistro with a lunch menu featuring salads, soups, sandwiches along with a modest assortment of beers and wines. We were greeted by a friendly and accommodating staff.

Service slow. Server kept having to go ask questions so maybe she was new. Place not all that clean. Had Gluten free marked on menus. Seemed to be a lot of confusion and it wasn't very busy. Staff was nice though. What I had was pretty good but nothing special. Probably won't go back. Kind of pricey for what you got.

Worst experience ever, and I actually mean EVER! Seated at 4:30 pm. Sat at the table a full THREE HOURS plus for horrible service. Over an hour before individual waters, six little bread rolls with butter for a table of 11, no utensils or plates. Some appetizers served after 2 hours waiting, except soup did not get served until 2 1/2 hours. Entrees served and desert, had to ask for utensils each time. Prime rib, only knives were butter knives. UUGH!! No water refills til after entrees. Food was acceptable, but the valentine meal was already the worst any of us had experienced before. Never again…times eleven…and everyone we know.

We had 5pm reservation for 8 people for Valentine's Day. Got our salad at 7pm and meals at 8pm. Nice Waitress kept apologizing. Extremely rude Manager/owner said " you should have expected this on Valentine's Day , do you want to come into the kitchen and see the logs?" Food was marginal and over $100 per couple.

By far the best restaurant I've been to in Arizona. The prices are worth what you're getting and the service is outstanding. The environment is extremely comfortable and the music isn't so loud that you can't have a conversation. The food is out of this world fresh and the drinks are amazing. I got a black rose and the French dip sandwich which was the best ever and my mom got the Cuban sandwich and the espresso martini. For a starter we got a pretzel which was fresh made and the best I've ever had. I highly recommend A Latte Vino!

Suggested Star Rating: 1 Star

1. Service Failure: I had to act as an impromptu server, which undermined the purpose of hosting a party at a venue.
2. Lack of Preparedness: Despite pre-booking and clear expectations, the event was poorly managed, with no assigned staff exclusively handling your party.
3. Owner's Response: The owner's dismissive attitude when approached for a discount further added to your dissatisfaction.
4. Incomplete Setup: Missing essentials like cups, plates, serving utensils, and napkins created unnecessary stress.
5. Overwhelmed Staff: While the server tried their best, the lack of support showed mismanagement at the organizational level.

Beware of Hosting Large Parties Here

I trusted A Latte Vino for a large party but ended up managing the event myself. Despite ordering and planning weeks in advance, the service fell far short. The server assigned to our party was also bartending and handling other customers, leaving our guests neglected. I spent the evening running back and forth for cups, plates, utensils, napkins (which I had to cut myself!), and even water.

I was assured in advance that if I had more than 30 guests (closer to 35–40), it wouldn’t be a problem, as we could easily order more food. The issue, they said, would only be ensuring enough seating, and I was told the room could fit up to 50 people. The space was extremely tight with just 35 guests, especially since we also needed room for food service. This issue was the service.

One of the most frustrating moments was when I realized there was no trash can in the room. Guests were left with used plates and cups piling up on tables, so I had to grab a trash bag I brought (originally for decorations) and start bussing tables myself. This left me unable to enjoy the event and made the party feel disorganized.

Plates weren't cleared, drinks weren’t replenished, and I had to set up dinner myself (save for the food), asking if dinner was ready because there were not plates or serving spoons. I then had to ask for serving spoons and dinner plates. I then had to uncover the food myself. Meanwhile, the owner sat at the bar, chatting, rather than stepping in to help her overwhelmed staff. When I expressed my frustration, the owner was dismissive (which was interesting because she didn’t even set food in the room where the party was) and offered no meaningful compensation.

I’m saddened because I’ve supported this business before and value women-owned establishments, but the lack of attention to detail and poor customer service cast a shadow on what should have been a special evening. I cannot recommend this venue for large gatherings.
