We booked this property for the room and breakfast. We followed their very strict rules and were down for breakfast at 8am. No one arrived or contacted us to let us know why no one was there. After waiting 20 minutes, we left and got breakfast elsewhere. So, if you are expecting breakfast at this bed and breakfast, we can tell you that it never arrived. I would not recommend. There are other great properties in Oakhurst.

We stayed one night. Lovely setting and outstanding location. Our comfy room had a shower and a separate Jacuzzi tub. The owner is prompt, available and attentive though we only communicated via text; she was not at the property during our brief stay which was a surprise for us (not a problem, just a surprise). We were not able to sample the reportedly good eat-in breakfast since we left quite early for Yosemite, so two to-go boxes were left in the fridge for us (we were told to take two boxes...so...we had enough basic sustenance). We did not try the pool. The deck furniture outside our room was dirty though we didn't have time to really sit anyway. It's as close as one can get to the south entrance without being in the park. Good dining options down the hill. Recommended overall.

My husband and I booked this for our anniversary and told the booking person it was a special occasion. Upon our arrival we opened our door to our room to find our room had not been serviced yet and it was 5pm when we arrived. We were highly disappointed. We were tired & hungry and now this. The rest of the property is very nice quiet and very well kept up. We went to have dinner in town and upon our return our room was all fixed up and Jo the care person was apologetic. The next morning breakfast was wonderful food & fruit. We were able to visit with other couples from other countries and that was a great memory. Overall our stay was nice outside of the initial first impression. You more than likely will enjoy your stay.

TLDR: Do yourself a favor and drive 8 minutes south and stay at the Holiday Inn or Fairfield Inn
We arrived at 3PM to a very cold room because they never bothered to turn the heat on, said it had been so warm. It was October 30th and down to the 40s at night. I text the number listed when we arrived to ask about the heat. No response after 30 minutes so we drove into the park. I then called and was told the handy man would have to come out. The guy that answered tried to make it seem like I was the problem because I didn't want the handy man in the room without us since our belongings were there and we didn't know exactly when we'd be back to the room. We got back at 5:00 and the after a lot of back and forth, the handy man finally arrived at 7:00 to get the heat turned on. The caretaker and her daughter are nice, but sitting in a cold room, eating my dinner with my coat on is not acceptable because they did not properly prepare the room. The heater being just turned on for the first time cause the room to smell all night (the handy man warned us of this) and every couple hours made a terrible rattling noise that kept waking us up throughout the night.
We stayed in the Red Rose Room and the bed was extremely uncomfortable, pillows are flat and old. The walls are like paper... you can hear actual conversations of the people in the next room, not just murmurings. Light sleepers take note.
The soaker tub was nice, but takes a very long time to fill up and is really loud if the jets are on. Basically sounds like a lawn mower is running the bathroom with you. At least the water did stay hot long enough to fill the tub.
We did not have breakfast any of the days we stayed there. The place is way more rustic than one typically imagines for a B&B. The cost is the same as the brand new hotels down the road and frankly feels like a rip off.

Clean room and no odors. Plenty of space. Breakfast was Ok, nothing special. Only negative for me was that I had the room facing the highway and heard the road noise. The others are on the back of the house. Great location for getting an early start at Yosemite.

We had a great stay at A Bed of Roses. The host is very responsive over email when we had questions about the check-in process (contact less check-in, they send a code for getting into the room) and ability to use the grill (we ended up grilling dinner and s'mores the first night we were there). We stayed in the Red Rose Room, which was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Lovely deck right outside our room, and the jacuzzi in our room was clean and easy to use. The pool was clean and refreshing and the perfect antidote to the Oakhurst heat. Breakfast in the mornings was delicious and chatting with other guests was fun. Just a 5 minute drive from lots of yummy restaurants and shops in town. 10/10 recommend!

A nice little bed and breakfast close to the entrance of Yosemite. It’s a quiet and beautiful location! The owner was very accommodating, responsive, and went above and beyond to make our stay special! The room was clean and the bed was comfy. They even provided a nice spread for breakfast. My husband and I were very happy with our stay here!
