I've had the luck to be able to fish with this group for a good handful of years now. Love the lodge itself, close to Cooper Landing. Service and communication always top notch. The fishing is always fantastic, and have caught a handful of once in a lifetime fish! It's the entire trip that makes it for me. Catching fish is fun, but floating, drifting, conversation, and being out there is fantastic. Guides are professionals...trust me, they know what they are doing! They've been on that river for years, and know every spot on that river. Kenai River Drifters has it all. All gear is supplied and it is top notch gear as well....Simms, Patagonia, etc. Great fire pit to tell great fish stories! Great cabins to stay in, nice showers, warm heaters, and plenty of sleeping area. Super clean cabins and super clean compound.

We found an instant connection to Drifters. Everything about this place was top notch. The cabin was comfortable and the breakfast - while simple- offered a nice variety. The packed lunches were a nice addition and contained plenty of food for a day of fishing. The location and scenery were absolutely amazing. We loved ending every evening sitting by the campfire roasting marshmallows. Everything I've mentioned is enough for me to recommend this resort to everyone I know, however, Drifters best feature is the staff. Holy moly were they outstanding. Everyone from our float guide to our fishing guides (Shane was my favorite), to the office staff and the office managers was engaging, genuine, friendly, and helpful. Evan (one of the office managers) even offered his personal gear when we were interested in fishing on our own one evening. We just loved this place. Stop looking and book now!

This is a fantastic way to learn about Alaskan river fishing and also to get connected to sport fishing in general. I travel as a solo female and I would like to highly recommend Kenai River Drifter's Lodge for like minded travelers. Breakfast was great, the cabin was spotless and my guides were knowledgeable and patient. They also can tailor a vacation to include other adventures in addition to amazing fishing and rafting 😍 ask when you call to book a package.

Greatest place ever. Cabin was super comfortable with great mattresses. Everyone who works there is super friendly. Had two great days of fishing with our guides John and Cam. Two of the best guides I have ever had. Ally kept us straight and was there to great us when we arrived at 1:30 am.

Had an incredible, well-rounded experience at Drifter's Lodge! Booking was seamless and Ali provided options to help us create the perfect package. We were delayed a day coming in and Ali worked with us to ensure that we got all of our fishing in! Fishing was top notch and we loved having John as a guide for most of our days. Limited out each day and are enjoying our Sockeye once a week thanks for KDL! Cabin 4 for comfy for a family and proximity to the nightly campfire and barbecue grill was great. Breakfasts were just right and lunches were super tasty after a long morning on the river. We will be back for sure! Thank you KDL!

After spending the majority of my summer working in tourism and aiding folks in exploring other parts of Alaska, myself and a group of (mostly) locals decided to take a little excursion for ourselves. I can't speak highly enough of this trip. Communication with the office and guide was seamless. I booked a private canyon tour and we had the pleasure of floating with Tommy. What an absolute gem. Informative, humorous, safe, relaxed. This was the highlight of my summer. (yes, September is still summer). Will be recommending to family, friends, and clients traveling in this beautiful state.

The staff and guides provide exceptional service. They are friendly and open to all questions from people like us who have never done anything like this before. My friend has advanced MS and I am 83 and they provided total accommodations for us to be able to fish and enjoy the wonder that is Alaska. The cabin we were in was comfortable and the restaurants in the area were fine. The guides are fantastic and provide all the guidance you need to fish successfully. The fish we caught were fileted and frozen and shipped back to our home. This was the adventure of a lifetime, and I would strongly recommend Drifters as a place to stay and enjoy the best salmon fishing you could hope for.

Another great trip to Alaska hosted by the fine folks at Drifter’s Lodge in Cooper Landing. Situated on the bank of the Kenai River the lodge had a spectacular view of the river and the mountains on both sides. Mountain goats and Dall sheep were spotted daily from our back porch. The lodge is located just right to offer easy access to The Russian River, Quartz Creek, Crescent Creek and the Kenai River, and we took advantage of all of them. We caught limits of salmon each time we went after them and caught loads of Rainbows and Dolly Varden as well. We spotted bear and moose on several excursions also. The food and service was top shelf and the staff at the lodge bent over backwards to provide us with everything we needed to make sure that our trip was all that we hoped for. This is the perfect destination for anyone looking to experience Alaska and all that it has to offer.
