Such a stunning experience! We took the Yukoner bus tour over the border and back. The passage through border control was so simple and quick, and the entire drive was gorgeous: glaciers, mountain ranges, lakes, mountain goats, and waterfalls. Marissa was well-versed in Gold Rush history, geology, meteorology, and Tlingit folklore. She taught us so much during our drive, and I also enjoyed her choice of soothing music on the drive back. On the day we visited there were also rare, perfect mountain reflections on the lake. Marissa explained the weather conditions that made this possible, and her enthusiasm was contagious! She took so many incredible photos of us at every stop. I appreciate all the accommodations she made for those in my group with mobility and accessibility issues, too. Would recommend her tours to everyone looking to maximize their time in Skagway!

What a great tour. We made many stops for photo opportunities. Our guide Marissa was extremely knowledgeable of the area and history. She even had books available to support her information! She was funny, interactive, and a great story teller! I would 10/10 recommend this tour! #nofiltersneeded

We had a phenomenal time on the Skagway Step Into the Yukon with Sled Dog Tour. We booked through Alaska Shore Excursions. This was such a great tour that hit each element. There was eduction, beautiful views, and awesome activities getting to visit a great sled dog camp. This was our favorite stop on our cruise because we felt that we really got to see so much. The tour was also a good length too where we were able to explore town after and still make it back to the boat on time. Marissa was a great guide. She was very entertaining and was extremely friendly. She gave us great recommendations on the tour and after for food. She’s been in the area longer than many of the guides we interacted with and you could tell she had a wealth of knowledge and really enjoyed her work. We would absolutely recommend her company and this tour!

Marissa was the most incredible tour guide and driver! She is so incredibly knowledgeable about the Skagway/Yukon area. She told so many fascinating stories and shared so much history. The places we stopped for pictures were absolutely breathtaking! Even the bathroom stops were beautiful! We went with our family of 13, including 3 kids under 10, and everyone agreed it was the best way to sightsee in Skagway. I know the train is the big tourist thing to do, but this was infinitely better because you were able to stop and look around. We even pulled over because Marissa saw a bear cub on the side of the highway and it walked right by our bus! I haven’t even mentioned my personal favorite part of the trip…Tutshi Sled Dog Tours!!!! We visited a 12-time Iditarod Musher’s kennel and went on a 1-mile ride around with a team of sled dogs. I am a huge dog lover and this was my absolute dream come true! Seriously, this is the best tour I’ve ever been on and highly recommend!

Marissa is such a gem and puts a great face to a great tour company! She was just the right amount of entertaining, knowledgeable, efficient, and kind! You walk away with great photos and an appreciation for the historical land.

We were on an Alaskan Cruise and chose to do the “Skagway Step Into the Yukon with Sled Dog Tour” booked through Alaska Shore Excursions at $168 a person (May 2024) which felt very reasonable for the amount of scenic stops + sled dog tour! Definitely a great option if the cruise excursions don’t have exactly what you are looking for and you want to support local businesses! The views were breathtaking and truly looked like they jumped straight out of a post card and the sled dogs were incredibly sweet and social- the only thing that could’ve made it better was if you got to take one home 🙂 Don’t hesitate to book this on your next trip to Alaska (and cross your fingers that you are lucky enough to get Marissa as your guide!) !

Marisa was a lovely guide. We had many stops at different vantage points of Tormented Valley/White Pass, and she was so gracious to offer to take photos of passengers at each stop. She was very knowledgeable regarding the Gold Rush and about the local plants.

If you would like a memorable experience in Skagway, then choosing Alaska Snowbird Tours is an excellent choice. Marissa has a tremendous amount of knowledge, kept us engaged throughout our day and most importantly showed us some great scenery (which included wildlife sightings).

Marissa was great! She was so informative and explained things will. Very nice and a safe driver. The suspension bridge tour was amazing and filled with beautiful views. I would highly recommend and would definitely go again!
