I really enjoyed the way the exhibits were displayed and their quality also. Entrance by donation. Well worth a visit to learn about the history, culture and wildlife too.

Nice little museum and a little off the main part of town, but worth a visit. Especially for the history buffs. Great local history beyond just the Gold Rush. If you have kids, make sure to ask about the scavenger hunt! There is also a train outside and if you like geocaching, there is one here.

Nice town museum. Worth taking 40 minutes or so to watch the documentary about the SS Princess Sophia disaster, a maritime disaster in 1918 that was new to me. Very well produced, full of great photos, narration, and historian interviews, and gives a lot of great background on the disaster.

A very neat and informative museum of local history. I recommend visiting if you like history. The displays were well done and left much more knowledgeable on the local gold rush history. Some very interesting stories too. It is donation only. They have a small gift shop, interesting gifts, one that we got were Alaska post stamps on magnets. They were so cool. I think there was a history video playing in the back by the restrooms.

A gorgeous, warm, and inviting little museum. A MUST SEE if you visit Skagway. There are so many stories in this place... a true favorite. Voluntary donation to enter. Terrific gift shop.
