We had a great private wildlife tour at an affordable price. We saw sea lions, otters a seal. But the highlight of our trip was spending time in an isolated bay with a small pod of gray whales. Captain Patrick turned off the boat and the whales came right the boat. It was so awesome. One even rolled over and showed us his belly. What a spectacular day. The boat has an enclosed cabin to stay warm and dry and a fore and aft deck for viewing.

Captain Patrick was awesome! We had an extremely rainy day and had low hopes of seeing any wildlife but we ended up seeing sea lions, whales, and 3 bears! Patrick knew all the best spots. He was knowledgeable, kind and fun to be around! We had a great time and highly recommend his sightseeing tour!

Partrick is the man. Booked when we got off the cruise. Answered the phone when he was on an excursion. Executed the the tour like a professional. Saw everything we wanted to see. Captain Patrick Davis is very knowledgeable of the area, on a short notice he was quick and able to accommodate me and my wife for a tour.
We enjoyed the amazing views of Sitka on the water and we’re lucky to see a whale, seals and sea otters.

Patrick was amazing! He picked us up from the apartment where we were staying and drove us to the Marina where we boarded his charming boat and headed out to sea. It was a cloudy day with low visibility but he worked hard to find us a huge pod of whales! We were surrounded by whale spouts, tails and even saw sone breaches. It was a very small group - just us and a mom and son who were both awesome. We had an amazing time!

Captain Patrick was an amazing guide for our Sitka wildlife tour! Since he was born and raised in Sitka has a wealth of local stories, history and advice on what else we could do on our trip. Our friend group ended up deciding last minute to go on the tour and we were so lucky to have a captain that was kind and communicative so we were able to make this trip a sucess.
Saw a group of sea otters, sea lions, various marine birds, harbor seals and grey whales. We shut off the engine when we were near the whales and a whale approached us! It was a once in a lifetime lucky experience!
We will definitely be reaching out to him for our future Sitka adventures (bear viewing / boat taxi to Mt Edgecombe)

We purposely didn’t book a whale watching excursion with the cruise line in hopes that we’d find a local guide when we got into town. Our prayers were answered when we met Patrick and his daughter Colette. After chatting about what type of boat we’d be going out on, and the small group size of no more than 6, we booked on the spot. Patrick was so accommodating, and got us to a pod of gray whales that seemed to put on a show just for us. We are so thankful for a memorable day thanks to Patrick.
