So much fun! Cold? Yes. Worth it? Also yes. Our guides, Hannah and Ian, were so kind and helpful with all of us. (If you're nervous, ask to use a boogie board when offered.) We saw sea stars, fish, kelp, and even the rocks were pretty at Magic Island. Do the unique activities in Alaska. You won't regret it.

We had a great experience using Selkie Snorkels. Great communication from start to finish. Very nice tour guides and we had a great time. There was a lot of sea creatures like starfish all over the island. Hot chocolate to warm up at the end. Would recommend for the water lovers out there.

Amazing experience. Juan was a great guide to the local underwater flora and fauna. Saw so many things, jellyfish, sea stars, crabs, fish, anemones, urchins, seal. Swimming through a kelp forest was a highlight. That tapping on your leg you feel while swimming is probably just the kelp. And how many people can say they snorkeled in Alaska.

What a marvelous experience this was to do on our short visit to Sitka! We were met by our hosts (brother and sister, that was cool) at the easy to find meeting place. We had to wait a bit for the three other people in our small group of 6 but it was fine because it was a nice ride to their establishment. Once there we were sized for our wet suit and gear. More than one Changing rooms were a plus. Then we were off to our snorkeling location, a short ride. It was rainy but felt like the perfect setting for us to snorkel in beautiful Sitka Alaska! We were first time cold water snorkels so I found it so invigorating. Orange, Pink, Purple star fish weee so abundant. I even saw salmon. We loved every moment. Upon returning they kindly offered snacks and hot beverages. Since we were cruisers we had to get back to the port and they gave us a ride back to the port which I was not expecting. They are such a friendly and accommodating crew.

My husband and I really enjoyed snorkeling with Sheridan and Hannah . As first time, snorkelers, and haters of the cold, We had a really amazing time and stayed warm. I was the slow one of the group, but every time I looked back, I could see Hannah and it was very comforting. We saw a lot of aquatic life like starfish, a sea cucumber (which Sheridan bravely swam down to get for us to hold and then gently put back in the ocean, of course), Kelp forest, hermit, crabs, and of course, fish 🙂

My only concern is that a good portion of the gloves had holes in them, but Hannah was able to find one last pair that was free of holes. That was an issue as I couldn’t be exposed any of the cold elements due to a medical thing.

I would highly recommend this tour. We came on a cruise ship. Everything was great from beginning to end to include communication. This was one of our favorite excursions and very affordable. Thanks for everything ladies!

PS: to the person who gave a one star rating because they missed the ride, you need to remove your review. The directions are so very clear and it’s not their fault that you can’t follow directions.

What an awesome experience! Ellie and Alyssa were great guides and even more amazing young women. They were super accommodating, knowledgeable, fun and considerate. The snorkeling was fantastic! It was a unique experience that everyone should try. Plus, it was surprisingly not cold at all with all of the gear on. We saw beautifully colored starfish and sea cucumbers, beautiful kelp beds with precious little kelp crabs, anemone, urchins, abalone, sculpin fish and more. Don’t miss your opportunity to do something fun, unique and different. Now I can say I’ve snorkeled in Alaska. Thanks ladies for an unforgettable day and hopefully a lifelong connection.

We had so much fun! There were so many schools of fish and starfish to see. We even saw a glimpse of a sea lion. Truly one of a kind experience and such a blast!
