I was treated with the utmost kindness here when I was stranded and waiting for a flight out the next day. Emily, the manager, rented me a room at a very low price when my debit card was out of funds at month's end, and I had a limited amount of cash. There was free coffee in the lobby and the room, excellent TV service, and very friendly staff. I couldn't recommend this hotel more highly.

We stayed here after disembarking from an Alaska Dream Cruise. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable with nice amenities for the bathroom and coffee to help us wake up. Service at the desk was OK but sometimes we saw no one standing there so had to say "Hello?". Then someone would come fairly promptly. Appreciated the courtesy service to Sitka Airport although it came a bit later than expected. (Well located for touring Sitka on foot.)

I had a pleasant stay. Rooms are modern and clean. My room had a kitchen. Bed was comfortable. No smells through the room or hotel. The front desk attendant and night and in the morning where friendly and helpful.

First the great... Location was nice, the beds were comfortable and one of the cleanest hotel in which I have stayed in. The staff was courteous and the stay was pleasant overall.

The only issue(s) I had with the hotel was that the hotel has recently gained access to a shuttle to the airport (important when flying out at 7AM) - but they could not guarantee that we had a spot on the shuttle. The only thing was that the shuttle would keep running if people needed to get to the airport. Resolved by getting in line early (20-30 minutes). Second is that if you are leaving before the front desk is staffed you need to drop off your room key in a bowl in the lobby. The issue... the bathroom in the lobby has a numeric door lock so you cannot access it if waiting for a shuttle (frustrating but fortunately not needed).

Overall, a nice place and we would stay their again.

NOTE: Try the Red Herring food truck - great food!

The rooms where amazing and well kept. The staff were wonderful and kind. The manager was helpful and incredibly accommodating. I would go again telling am tell my friends to go aswell

Rooms are comfortable you get a coffee 24 /7 staff is very friendly. Probably the best hotel in Sitka bedding is OK all attractions are walkable from the hotel. There is no breakfast. The hotel has 100 rooms. There is a shuttle from the airport free of charge.

I don't want to be unfair here, but this is a very average hotel at a pretty high price ($349 a night). Now I guess the caveat is that this is Sitka, and maybe for Sitka this place is amazing but for $349 a night I would expect maybe a breakfast buffet or something. No one seems particularly happy to be there. The room was relatively large, although smaller than Residence Inn, the bathroom was average at best with a curved tub/slower floor that had me watching my balance. Lots of channels on the TV, and the maintenance seemed good enough, the place was clean, but wow, doesn't seem like a good value at all.

Should be a 10 rating. They provided excellent customer service. All areas of the hotel were clean. Great example on how a hotel should be.
