We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our AK adventure. It was quiet, very clean and exactly as advertised. Is one of several units that belong to the owners who also live in the building upstairs. The owner met us when we arrived and came right away when we had trouble figuring out the TV channels on the flat screen. It located in a nice quiet residential neighborhood just minutes from gas stations and Fred Meyers for groceries. Its also a short drive to Potter Marsh for birding. We had our own parking spot and it was safe area. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need to prepare a complete meal including nice teas, coffee, and hot chocolate. We also has access to the owners washer and dryer for a small fee which was convenient as well. I would definitely recommend the Swiss Efficiency but be aware this is not a true bed and breakfast since they do not serve breakfast. I handled the reservations on line and it was a snap.

We stayed here one night at the end of our 3-week Alaska trip. The innkeepers were very hospitable and the Garden Efficiency apartment where we stayed (one of 2 apartments available at the site) was cheery, bright, beautifully furnished, homey, extremely well organized and very clean. It had its own entrance, so was very private. It was well equipped with everything a traveler needs, including a fridge and cabinet stocked with breakfast items (milk, cereal, waffles, eggs, bread, yogurt, juices, coffee), note paper and writing utensils, shampoo, hand cream, even a first aid kit, in addition to all other expected items. The owners were very hospitable and even let us use their garage and tools as needed to pack our mountain bikes into our cases for our return home. The laundry room was available to guests for a small price. The room price was also very reasonable; we wished we could have stayed longer and would definitely stay there again and recommend it highly to others. The location was very nice, a suburban neighborhood near Campbell Lake in South Anchorage, that was near a few, but not a lot, of restaurants. It would have been much too far a walk and difficult to get to downtown Anchorage without a car, so the location may not be perfect for everyone, but cabs were easily available. The location is also close to the airport. I would say that this is the nicest apartment-type B+B we have every stayed in.

The title describes the accommodation beautifully. Easy to find, conveniently located; quiet residential street; ample, accessible off-street parking; very close to excellent shopping.||||The building is spotlessly clean and well maintained. I stayed in two different rooms, both of them delightful. The interior geometry is interesting and makes for private spaces. The light earth tones colors are attractive and relaxing.||||Verena was very gracious about some sudden changes I had to make. If she declined to make the changes, it would have been understandable. Other Alaska businesses did not. ||||Something I've discovered through experience and suggest: Sure, check out reviews on TripAdvisor, but after you make a choice, got to the establishment website and book or call. Businesses honor online prices, and if a clerk can't, then you can book with a "partner." Only time I have had a problem is not booking direct. These "partners" don't add value, except to help CEO Stephen Kaufer earn 498 times what the median TripAdvisor employee does.

We stayed here for 10 days while visiting family and touring Alaska in August 2016. Trip Advisor lists this as a bed and breakfast however there is no breakfast here, just accommodations. The owners do not advertise it as such either. Located in a nice, safe neighborhood and it was within walking distance to a store and a McDonald's. We made breakfast every morning in the little kitchenette. On the nights we had dinner in the room the store that is within walking distance had excellent hot meals for takeout and the Chinese food was really good. Hotel prices in Anchorage during the summer can be quite expensive and we found good value in staying here. The only con is that the bed wasn't that comfortable. Aside from that we would stay here again.

After arriving We were shown our room in the basement with no mountain view, a double bed instead of twin beds which we had booked months in advanced , the owner was extremely rude , aggressive and basically said suck it up .
After pointing her finger in our faces we decided it would be best not to stay here .
She then become nice as she wanted us to cancel the booking through the web site so she didn't get charged .
As far as the place, it was nice and clean , had good amenities but is very far away from everything . You defiantly need a car .
Would not stay here again , and would not reccomend it either .

We stayed in the Mountain View apartment for 5 days while we waited for our cruise to depart , it is within walking distance to the supermarket which was very handy , the in house laundry facility is an asset , the only disappointing thing was the journey to our apartment ,with luggage in tow we proceeded towards the back of the complex , it felt like we were going down to a dungeon with steps to negotiate along with all of our chattels we finally reached the door. I think the description of these apartments should mention that there are stairs .||Our friends had booked a 1 night stay but the day before they were due to arrive received an email telling them that their booking was cancelled , we were not impressed and neither were they .

Having stayed in many places in Anchorage, I can say this was the best yet. It was clean, and affordable. It was very private, and stocked with everything you'd need. The only cons I personally found is that the bed was a little firm for my taste, and the free internet had a poor connection.||It is in a safer neighborhood, and the hosts were friendly.

Room was clean and comfortable with small kitchen. No views from the room (except small garden). There was access to washer/dryer (extra charge) that was useful for us. Location wasn't great. Didn't meet the owner.
