Miller's Landing - Seward, Alaska

*Winter kayak tour in Seward*

After a last minute cancellation to our plans with a different your company, our group of 8 was scrambling to find something fun to do on New Year's Eve in Seward. We called several companies and we're disappointed to hear that no one would offer us tours during that week. Then Miller's Landing answered!

This was their first winter kayak trip of the season, but you wouldn't know it by how seamless the experience was. They had all the gear ready to go for us when we arrived and were patient as we acclimated to the dry suits. Our your guide Ron was an absolute delight--conversational, funny, knowledgeable! We spent hours on the water observing wildlife and the beautiful scenery. Ron made us some coffee and hot chocolate on the beach down the way as we took a short hiking pit stop to view some seals. And when we returned to the clubhouse, Abby and the chef had a truly delicious and freshly prepared lunch for us! They were even able to accommodate our gluten-free friend. And after heading home, we received an album of photos taken by Ron during our trip.

Had a truly amazing time on the half day kayaking tour with our tour guide Isaac! I think the tour itself was great value and we got very lucky with the weather here. There was so much to see with the landscapes and the wildlife. It was very peaceful and there were lots of unforgettable views.
The location is hard to get to but they were so understanding and gracious about it. If you want to book here I would do my best to get transportation in advance- whether that be a shuttle or a rental car because the taxis would not take me (or even answer my calls).
Overall with that in mind I would definitely book again the next time I am in Alaska!

Great view of the bay, welcoming and helpful staff. Great fish and chips! Nice laundry area. Nice hike at a Lowell Point as well. It was too late in the season for a fishing trip 😔 but we would have definitely booked one. Yikes, trip advisor wants more characters. That's all I've got.

Great winter kayaking. Provided dry suits and all the necessary gear to stay warm in sub-freezing temperatures. Gotta see all sorts of wildlife, including some cute little otters as close as 100ft away as they wander up. Great guides for a great adventure, ours was Ron and he was a blast (his Spotify is also great, very David Bowie-esque).

We did the kayaking tour in Aialick Bay to Holgate Glacier. We lucked out with beautiful weather especially for August 31st. We were water taxied out to this beautiful spot called quick sand cove where we saw tons of eagles, bear and eagle tracks in the sand and a stream with spawning salmon. Then we started our paddle to the glacier and had lunch by the glacier which was beautiful. Our guide Ron was awesome. He was super fun, a great communicator about the plan for the day and very knowledgeable about the area, the glaciers and the wildlife. The trip was super adventurous and so scenic! Would highly recommend! Highlight of our trip!

It was a small site, but adequate for our tent. Parking was next to it. The area was muddy so getting to the bathrooms was a hop, skip and jump around many puddles. It was nice to be at the site where we were doing kayaking trips and the amenities were sufficient!

We had a great day on the water with Ron. He was very knowledgeable, fun and great at reading all of our abilities. We kayaked around 12 miles altogether. Tom was the captain on the ferry to Quicksand Beach, where we launched the kayaks. He was also great to talk with. Our experience was wonderful from the crew behind the desk, to the captains, to dinner at the Cafe and especially with Ron, our tour guide. We would definitely use Miller's Landing in the future.

Such an awesome trip with Caley and Ron! They were super fun, knowledgeable, and great at making the experience safe and as comfortable as possible even through the rainier afternoon (they even made us hot cocoa and coffee on the beach!). We did a ~11 hour trip and it flew by. The boat rides were beautiful and paddling along the fjord is an incredible experience. Would absolutely recommend!
