Use Katmai Air if you are going to brooks! Hands down the best way to get to Katmai national park. The service was wonderful and the flights were unforgettable! Some use the water taxi from king salmon, I would strongly recommend against using this option. The price is slightly lower but gets canceled regularly. If you want no worries, use Katmai Air!

We took a flight out from ANC to King Salmon to Brooks Camp to see some bears in Sept 2024. Truly we had a great experience and the whole staff was incredible! The planes were nice and it was such a good experience getting to fly on a PC12 and an otter. Highly recommend for a day trip to go to Brooks Camp/see Brooks Falls!

We couldn't have been happier with the communication, flight, and experience with Katmai Air for our roundtrip from King Salmon to Brooks Falls. These guys are professionals and was the most affordable float plane option if you have only 2 people and don't want to charter an entire plane through another company.

Great pilots. Terrible customer service. They don’t reply promptly. Then they picked us up in one place and dropped us off in another for our tour and we had to take a taxi to get back to our car.

These guys are amazing. Great pilots & amazing customer service. We were unable to land in King Salmon with Ravn air due to fog/smoke and thus missed our flight with them to Brooks Falls. Despite them having their own flights grounded and needing to rebook many customers, they worked hard to get us on a flight ASAP. They were so helpful and accommodating and FRIENDLY despite everything going on. Highly recommend!

Not very well organized. My small bag was put on the wrong plane, which meant my limited time for my day trip at Brooks Camp was delayed by about an hour. At the end of the day there was a mix-up and I along with 2 others thought we'd missed our flight. We had to ask Alaskan Airlines to call someone at Katmai, since there's no cell service in King Salmon. Another guy's bag didn't make it at all for his day trip. Just not impressed, wouldn't recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Brooks Falls.

Experienced some turbulence on the flight back from Katmai, but that is to be expected with small planes. However, our flight from King Salmon to Anchorage with ACE ran into a mechanical problem and a mechanic had to be flown in from Anchorage to look at the plane. Kelly from Katmai Air was able to book everyone on Aleutian Airlines next flight. We were only delayed a few hours instead of what could have been 8 hours or more waiting for ACE to fly in a new plane and crew. Cudos to Kelly for going the extra mile for his customers.
