It was beautiful with all the flowers & the grass roof & the ladies inside were very informative... Thank you volunteers! This is where we picked up the trolley tour, which I would highly recommend, as long as you ask for Donna on "The Don" trolley! She was amazing!!

We visited the log cabin visitor center during the Iditarod.
All the staff were very welcoming and friendly.
They had free postcards, so you can send some to your family or friends but also can keep some for your own souvenirs.
If you are stamp collector, it is a great spot as they have a large box with a lot of unique and interesting stamps. There are two places one is the Log Cabin and another is the visiting center, so you should stop by both.
At the log cabin, they have a full box of stamps.
And if you get out from there and there is another building, Visitor Information behind it.
(1 piece of A4 size paper is not enough to get all the stamps!!)
They have a lot of brochures about what to do in Alaska and the possibly tours that you can go on. Many look really interesting and we wish we knew about it sooner as this might be the first stop to pick some really great and trust worthy tour guidea.
It is a good stop to get you warm in the winter.

A great place to get insights on where to go in Anchorage. The staff was friendly and the layout of the log cabin was cute and decorated nicely outside. There are no restrooms here though.

Beyond polite and helpful person gave us all of the advice that we're looking for and what to do in the area. It surprised me how friendly everyone was and the amount of time and patience they showed tours are lack of knowledge. Super customer service.

Great visitor center to check out! Free maps etc and you can send up to two postcards per person back to other US states for free! They take care of postage as well as free postcards. Nice building and manicured landscaping as well. The trolley tours meet in this area too. We did not check out the reindeer hotdogs but multiple in the area. It’s touristy but a great place to start off and get your bearings or if only staying in the city for a day.
