Oelrich's on the Kenai River - Soldotna, Alaska

Went to Soldotna for Business and had the opportunity to stay at this B&B. Doris is extremely friendly and supplied me with a wonderful place to stay. This is one of the best B&B’s I have ever stayed at. I will definitely stay here again, this time with my family.

The B&B was fantastic, and just as advertised. My hubby and I had the downstairs area, which provided a private bathroom and extra space. Plus, we were able to walk out and fish right off the dock. Doris was very accommodating, and made sure we had everything we needed for a good fishing experience. She processed our fish for us, and even booked the fly out, where we fished for salmon and saw 12 brown bears. The accommodations were super clean, and when you add that to Doris' friendliness, it makes you want to repeat the experience. We are already booked for next summer.

We love staying here. Doris is awesome and provides excellent services and accommodations. We have always caught fish and get good recommendations from Doris for other activities or guided trips. The property is plenty big for several groups or one large groups. The location is perfect on the Kenai River and close to Soldotna and Kenai. They have excellent fish packaging on site. The house is clean. No on site laundry, but you can find some pay laundry places in town. We will come back in future years. This is our 3rd time staying here.

I cant not but leave a good review...||||My Brother and I had not seen each other in nearly 2 years, I had a work trip to Alaksa and decided to coax him into joining me so we added a few extra days to go fishing, exploring and enjoy some of the beautiful wilderness AK had to offer. ||||After ALOT of searching, everything seemed kind of cookie cutter, name brand, 2-3 star hotels with the same lame Best western/ Extend stay vibes. ||||Then I stumbled across Oelrichs. I called and the owner, Doris picked up. She was a delight from the get go. Exceptionally helpful and thoughtful and advised on what to do to make the most of our time there. She made it super easy for us to reserve and encouraged us to fish at the river bank, her husband Paul showed us the ropes!||||The Place is gorgeous. Beautiful log cabin feel with lots of historical decorations and modern amenities. Right on the Kenai river (i mean on the river, its dope) with a lovely view. Garden in front and back make it a perfect place for families or anyone wanting to spend time relaxing at home. ||||Location wise Soldotna is hard to beat, the town itself is lovely and its great launch pad for getting to other must see places. Also only 2 hours south of Ancorage. ||||Cant recommend this place enough for anyone looking for an authentic, comfortable and beautiful stay in Alaska.

Wir sind seit vielen Jahren Gäste bei Doris & Paul und schätzen Ihre liebevolle Gastfreundschaft sehr. Da die Lodge direkt am Kenai River liegt bietet es zum Fischen alles was das Fischerherz begehrt 🐟🎣.
Kulinarisch wird man mit heimischen und lokalen Gerichten verwöhnt.

Nous avons découvert par hasard ce lieu et nous l'avons beaucoup apprécié. La maison est bien située le long de la rivière, Doris et Paul nous ont réservé un accueil chaleureux et "helpfull", les chambres et les salles de bain sont rutilantes. La cuisine de Doris est très agréable et saine. Nous vous recommandons vivement ce lieu.
