Intriqued by the modest road sign, we turned off the road (Alaska Hwy) and drove in some 1/2 mile to discover this chaming and uniquely comfortable B&B. Tastefully decorated with her stainglass and other local artisan craft pottery (for sale) , Helga, an artist/college instructer is the proprietress who makes the B&B so inviting and comfortable. A rustic doll-house cabin and several rooms in her uniquely self designed and constructed home attracted us to stay. The property and buildings look tongue and cheek hippie. ||My two adult sons and I chose the cabin - a bit like an Alaskan Hobbit house. In all, there were three parties who stayed that night - a couple from Germany, two ladies, and my three. We were the only ones who did not pre-book. - she gets reservations.||Breakfast was a delicious "Dutch baby" baked fruit pancake, with bacon savory, and coffee. The property is large and inviting to sit on the several flower potted decks. Her lab, husky and collie mix dog added to the ambience and the pleasant stay. Helga has lived here for over 30 years and provided lots of history about Alaska and local information about Tok.

Helga is the most amazing host, her home is in the most beautiful area; tucked away from everything, cozy, welcoming, and wonderful in every way. Her art & food is also incredible! I recommend this place to anyone traveling in the area.

This B & B is located off the Alaska highway on 10 acres of land.||very quiet and offers walking trails.||Host is very artistic and makes delicious breakfast. You will get a good night's sleep here.

Etwas schwer zu finden und abgelegen im Wald liegt dieses sehr individuelle Bed & Breakfast. Die Ruhe ist traumhaft, auch die Gegend lädt zu kleinen Spaziergängen (mit dem lieben Hund der Besitzerin) ein. Das hellhörige, geteilte Bad ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber dies wird durch die Herzlichkeit der Künstlerin, der dieses B&B gehört, ausgeglichen. Man sollte sich etwaige Vorräte vorher zulegen, denn zum nächsten Supermarkt muss man etwas weiter mit dem Auto fahren. Das Frühstück war sehr liebevoll zubereitet, das Zimmer im Blockhaus war ordentlich und sauber.
