I had thought that given all the spectacular scenery and breath-taking views available around Mitkof Island and Petersburg that the Ohmer Creek Campground would be more exciting. Sadly that is not the reality. It is just your generic Forest Service campground in the woods. No spots on a river or lake - just a road, a loop, and some outhouses. Sort of disappointing. It's not bad by any means, but it could be so much better.

This is a primitive campground with water available. It is right on Ohmer Creek, which has good salmon fishing in season. It also has access to the Ohmer Creek trail.
