The host was very accommodating and helpful. There is a spacious common area beautifully decorated with a very comfortable sofa. Plus a dinette set. |The rooms were very clean and equipped with basic necessities. |The guests also have a spacious private deck with table and chairs with nice home waterfalls. |There are two rooms so if you prefer more privacy book both of them.

I stayed here 6 nights (2 + 4) and I will try to come back. Very good value! The room was very clean, refrigerator w freezer (can freeze some fish), microwave. The bed was very comfortable; too bad the night is very short in Anchorage and one can't sleep too much. Bathroom very clean. The breakfast is very consistent, very well served. There is a deck, in the sun, where the guests can relax (when the sun appears). There is also a room where the guests can read a lot about Alaska, can chat and make plans for their trips.||Close to downtown. I had a car so it was not a problem to go anywhere.||Patti and Bob were very friendly and ready to help with everything.||I planned my trip about 6 months before and I do appreciate that everything was ready when I arrived. Thinking that I came from the other side of the world and I was exahausted after 22 hours of flight!!!||So, I do reccomend Your Home Away From Home B & B to anyone. I do hope I will come back sometime in winter. ||Thank you Patti and Bob.

Of all the places I stayed in Anchorage, this was by far the best value!! The room was clean and more than adequate. The jacuzzi tub is great. I waived the breakfast all 3 days, so I can't comment on that. The family that runs it was very courteous and helpful. If I ever visit Anchorage again, I will definitely stay here!

the room was crappy..it just had the basics and was extremely small ..almost suffocating. ||For July 4th ...they had a party in which babies were crying outside our our room til 2:00 am ( my baby as a result was not able to sleep all night)||The room was stuffy ..so i was usually out with my toddler ..and the people|| in the house were pretty unfriendly ..they won't even smile. ||In the morning for breakfast Patti the unfreindly hostess declares "i am sorry we have no milk"||and she serves scrambled eggs for breakfast..leftovers of the party..She did not even think once ||that there is nothing for a vegeterian family in her breakfast...I had to buy my bread and i requested her to use her toaster||for breakfast ..all in all avoid if u can ||I wonder if the good reviews are posted by her freinds ..since if thats the way she hosts ..good reviews will be a dream

We were on Alaska for two weeks and this by far was our best stay. The food was delicious the rooms were comfy and spacious and clean. We had so much fun talking with the owner Patti. We would recommend this as a great place to stay if you're visiting Alaska!

We stayed one night, returned our rental car to the airport and took a cab back to the B&B. In the morning we departed very early to catch the train to Seward, so I cannot say anything about breakfast. The hostess was friendly, the room was clean and more than adequate. It is located in a residential area, can't walk to anything.

not sure what was going on when we were there, but the hosts were extremely inconsiderate and quite frankly rude. the room was small, dirty and had a fairly horrific stench. this coupled with the abundance of drunken men made a uncomfortable stay. I would try somewhere else.
