Cozy, Clean, and Full of Charm! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Hyland Hotel in Palmer is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean and cute it was. The blue doors are such a charming touch, and the rooms feel like tiny apartment-style BnBs—they have everything you could possibly need.
The building itself is stunning, with so much history. It’s a beautifully restored historical property, and I highly recommend checking out the hotel’s website to read more about its story. The soundproofing is incredible—you don’t hear a peep from neighbors, upstairs, or even car traffic outside. It’s such a peaceful and cozy spot!
The owner, Jason, is amazing and so accommodating. We had a bit of trouble with the front door when we arrived (we were tired!), but Jason answered our call right away and helped us get situated. There’s no front desk or office since it’s a self-check-in setup, but any questions you have are quickly answered with the phone number provided.
This place is perfect for a night or two—even if you’re a local, it’s a must-visit for a cozy getaway! I can’t recommend the Hyland Hotel enough. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat and will absolutely recommend it to friends and family.

Amazing downtown option for accommodations. The rooms are always clean and in great shape. The owners are always responsive and reach out before you even arrive if there are any notifications that should be shared. They even send alerts and warnings if weather is really bad. Stay with them multiple times a year, and Hyland Hotel is my first choice anytime I travel to Palmer.

Great place to stay. Definitely recommend. Renovations were very nice and close to the fairgrounds, stores, and dining. My girlfriend would luke to know the brand of the shampoo and conditioner provided as she says it's awesome. Definitely would book again.

Very historic feel to the building, it was fun to stay in a piece of Alaskan history. Rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. Check in/check out process was simple and easy. Hiked to the top of Matanuska Peak and ate dinner at Matanuska brewing during our two night stay in Palmer and would recommend!

A MUST STAY PLACE! Even if you have to go out of your way to get to Palmer, the hotel and town is worth it. Hyland Hotel is the nicest, most affordable place we stayed in Alaska.

I stayed in one of the suites with a full kitchen, including a Keurig coffee machine, for a full workweek. The room was clean and stocked with utensils, plates, glasses and other useful kitchen items. Fred Meyer is a less than five minute walk, Dairy Queen is next door, and there's a coffee shop across the street that also serves breakfast. This hotel is a historic building that has been completely remodeled and great care was obviously put into that effort. There are hooks near the door for your jacket and a hook in the bathroom next to the shower for your towel. There's a perfect place to put your shoes next to the door. There are hangers and a small rack in the bedroom for hanging clothes to air out or dry. Streaming options on the TV using your own credentials. A fan in the bedroom. A knitted blanket and pillow for the couch. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. It might be the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Five stars all around.

Very small quaint hotel, complete with full kitchen laundry and dishes. They even give you laundry soap. I stayed here for work and told my company I want to come back.
My only complaint is that someone forgot to put soap in the shower but they did have shampoo and conditioner.

Everything in these rooms is VERY clean and modern.
