An Experience of a Lifetime!

My trip to Alaska was nothing short of magical! From start to finish, everything went smoothly, and I had the pleasure of meeting some incredible people along the way. One of the highlights was definitely the accommodations. Both my hotel and igloo stay were unique and memorable—truly a one-of-a-kind experience!

The activities were fantastic, though the dog sledding wasn’t exactly what I had expected. That being said, meeting the dogs and hearing their stories made the experience truly special. The dogs were incredibly friendly and charming, and getting to know them added a personal touch to the adventure.

We were also blessed with the most mesmerizing sunset I’ve ever seen. In the cold, crisp air, it felt like something out of a dream. Champagne by the fire, with that stunning sunset right in front of us, was a moment I’ll never forget. Tyler and Marina were amazing hosts, generous with the champagne pours, and they really helped make that moment unforgettable.

And then, the cherry on top: the Northern Lights! I was just lying on my bed, admiring the stars, when suddenly the skies came alive with the brilliant lights. The colors were so bright that it lit up the entire surrounding area. It’s one of those experiences that can only be truly appreciated in person—photos don’t do it justice.

I’ve already been telling everyone at work that they *must* visit Alaska and take this trip at least once in their lives. I can’t wait to return, especially to experience the Midnight Sun Parade in the summer! This was an unforgettable journey, and I know it won’t be my last. Wohoo!!! 🥳

Our Alaska vacation was absolutely perfect - well, except for the rain the first few days but we planned for it and enjoyed exploring even with the sprinkles. Betsy at Alaska Tours set everything up for us: transportation to and from Katmai National Park, the train to and from Denali National Park and hotel while there as well as the Tundra Bus Tour. Every little detail was right on the mark and everything went so smoothly. A huge thank you to Alaska Tours!! We will definitely be contacting you again for our next adventure to the beautiful state of Alaska - can't wait to get back!!

The whole experience was great. The only reason why I didn't give it five stars was because the itinerary notes about the hotels. It stated that they weren't able to transport people to and from, feel like it was copied and paste. Because one of the two hotels did have transportation provided. Overall, will utilize them again for a future summer trip.

Perfect trip for us because a cruise has 0 appeal to me. Alaska Tours arranged all the hotels, car rental, and a couple of big tours. Using their suggestions, we had plenty of time to rent e-bikes and ride the trail in anchorage, ride horses in a valley surrounded by snow capped mountains, and stop along every route taking our time and soaking up the vast amounts of gorgeous Alaskan scenery. Thanks, it was a blast. When friends ask what the best part was, my answer is that every day was spectacular until we got on the return plane with all the “cruise ship crowd “ that were worn out, coughing and sneezing and generally not looking too good.

It was a trip of a lifetime!
We took the Rail & Car, 8 day tour in the first week of June, 2024. The weather was nice and warmer than we expected. Because it was the beginning of the season, some places were still closed, and our kayak activity was cancelled since the lake was still frozen. However, for the same reason, we avoided the crowd. There was no line or wait at restaurants or other places we visited. Initially, we were concerned about a long drive from Fairbanks to Valdez and Valdez to Anchorage. However, it was just like driving in a national park. The view was spectacular throughout the drive and most of the time, there was no one else on the road. Also, by making a stop here and there, the drive was not that bad.
Kimberly answered any questions we had prior to the trip in very timely manner. Once we got there, everything was very efficient and went smoothly. The detailed itinerary and vouchers helped us a lot. I highly recommend Alaska Tours.
