First time trying this place. The food was outstanding! We ordered the rock fish tacos. Beer and wine is on the menu. However, if you spend less than $10 or go back to order a glass of wine, credit card fees will be charged to you ($1 on a $7 glass of wine) so I always like knowing about additional fees before visiting a place.

You go inside and order at the front desk and then pick up your food when ready. No table service.

But, the food was really good. Indoor and outdoor seating. This establishment is not handicap accessible. Ocean views. Bathroom. Family friendly!

I have the halibut fish and chips. It was so good and tasted fresh! They do a crumble breading which gives the fish more flavor and crunchy. I never thought I'd find a place that didn't do the generic fish and chips. Oh was I wrong. Very good! It was also a fun location to watch the boats being moved around in the yard.

First time visiting, got the rockfish fish and chips. I love that they use panko breading instead of beer batter, much crispier. Fish was hot, good and a generous portion. The best I've had in Alaska so far in my visit. Fries were okay, nothing special there. I would return for sure.

Best battered ling cod fish and chips and fried pickles (not pictured) I've ever had. The rockfish is also excellent, and although I can't personally vouch for the pastrami reuben I can say that my husband enjoyed it enough to order it again the next day.

My dad used to treat me to lunch at The Boat Yard when I was a kid (in the '90s/early '00s) and it's such a fun and exciting (and nostalgic) location to grab a bite and check out the boats.

Loved the food and the atmosphere. I enjoyed probably the best huevos rancheros in AK. The menu looks appetizing the owner is friendly knowledgeable and accommodating. I will definitely be returning. Also the homemade hot sauce was insanely fresh tasting and bright. I had to buy a bottle to take home.

Cosy, casual, friendly place with great food! Today we had the cod sandwiches (panko crusted ling cod) with fries and a side of charred brussels sprouts. Everything was prepared to perfection. We’ve also had great burgers and tacos here.

Love Boat yard Cafe, come hungry though, their portion sizes are huge! Great variety and for those that have gluten allergies they not only have gluten free buns for sandwiches/burgers but also a dedicated fryer for making gluten free battered fish and fries.
Want a unique side dish? Try the crispy Brussel sprouts, they are awesome!
