My family had an amazing time at Alaska Eagle Head! Our accommodations were clean and cozy, and included very thoughtful amenities. We loved the way they were decorated and appreciated the rustic charm. Everything we needed for fishing was provided, from the poles and waiters to beautiful docks equipped with nets and filet stations. We came with our baby and it was awesome to be just a few steps away from the Kenai river so we could maximize the time between her naps. We enjoyed picnic lunches on the pristine lawn and then just a few steps away on the river my husband was able to catch his first salmon! We will definitely be coming back to Alaska Eagle Head again!

Our stay at Eagle Head cabins couldn’t have been any better. The cabins were very well maintained and the gathering area on property was a great place to hang out and share meals next to a fire. Everything that you could need for your guided trips and personal fishing excursions was included which was very helpful. Jerry was very informative about the area and gave great tips for fishing. The view of the river and ability to fish from the pier was an added bonus that our group enjoyed.

We had an amazing trip to Alaska and the facilities at Eagle Head were 5 star — all the way! Jerry keeps the entire grounds meticulously manicured and the cabins were cozy and clean. The access to salmon noshing right out the back door (literally) was over the top! Jerry keeps plenty of fishing rods/tackle available for guests to use and the fish cleaning stations on each platform was awesome! We will return to Eagle Head cabins when we return to Alaska! Service was excellent and we are thrilled to have chosen this location for our fishing trip!

Jerry has the nicest facility on the Kenai Peninsula. The cabin was immaculate. The equipment was very accessible and in top notch condition. We caught fish off the several docks on the shoreline. Can’t do better than this for a place to stay.

Eagle Head was perfect for our 4 boys. Great location and immaculate property. Our host taught the boys how to fish the first day and they never stopped. Beautiful cabins with everything needed to cook. I would highly recommend.

EAGLE HEAD CABINS ARE ASTONISHING|This was my second trip to Beautiful Alaska Eagle Head Resort and better than the first. Once again the professionals with Russell Fishing and Eagle Head Resort did not disappoint. Eagle Head cabins are astonishing.||Jerry was right there to help in every way. I met some new friends from Hawaii and I wish them the best with the recent fires down there. They all were VERY kind and great people to fish with. Memories I will cherish forever.||I also met a family from Texas that just melted my heart. Mom, Dad and three daughters. They were so eager to learn to fish and I enjoyed being part of their family, even if for a short time.||Jerry’s wife was a sweet soul, sitting in the sun on a fresh cut lawn, tying hooks for us to go catch salmon. Her heart was full just knowing we would be catching some fish with her rigs.||This trip, I was not as unseasoned as the first one and every fishing trip went smooth. We had one bump in the road and the Russell group smoothed it out right away. I just need to remember these are real people with real lives and things happen. We were their main priority and any issue is handled quickly to get us fishing. Russell fishing staff are awesome.||I went halibut fishing with Badger again this year and that is the best times for sure! I also took a couple of Salmon trips this time and I am upset that I did not take them the first trip. We had a blast! So exciting and guaranteed to keep a smile on your face.||I will be back for sure.

Immaculately clean and well decorated cabins on pristine property with private access to the Kenai. Jerry the owner took time to show us around the property. He provided high quality rain gear and waders that we used for the week. Our cabin was well equipped with everything you’d need for cooking, including a grill, and the Wi-Fi strength was exceptional. He even provides fishing rods & tackle to use when fishing from the platforms on property.||Highly recommend, A+++!||

We were so fortunate to return to Eagle Head Lodge in July of 2023, where we initially stayed in 2012 when our children were fairly young. We did post a review back in 2012 which also highlights our fantastic experience. The Lodge is perfect for families and seasoned fishermen (and women) which has 5 well equipped cabins and a central Gazebo with a fire place and grills to cook your freshly caught Salmon or Steaks from the nearby grocery store. Jerry (the owner) was absolutely wonderful! Always available to assist us with any questions, taught our novice travelers how to fish and even taught us how to smoke our Salmon which turned out superb! He had many fishing poles and nets ready for us to use at the docks fronting the majestic Kenai River and our group of 9 travelers had a wonderful time fishing on site and going site seeing in Homer.

Thank-you Jerry for making our Alaska trip so memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our trip and are looking forward to returning to Eagle Head Lodge which we consider to be a gem right on the Kenai river!
