Hunger Hut Liquor Store had a great selection and well priced. The store was very nicely organized. You can easily find everything. The store has a lot of plants and decor which makes it really nice to be in there as you’re browsing for your selection. The lady who checked us out was so wonderful. Such a sweet personality, we had a fun little chat talking about halibut fishing 🎣. We did not go to the bar or to the motel but if either of the those are as well ran and decorated the same way I’d highly recommend it.

What a great local pub! Friendly service, extremely clean and hygienic establishments. They even have a heated smoke shack! cigar room?…yes please! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants an authentic local experience at a great watering hole!

Do not sleep on Hunger Hut or Edward, who is a wonderful, thoughtful, experienced, jubaliceous bartender. Great space for dancers. Awesome venue for smiles and a small time, familiar feel! I recommend a dirty martini, surprise bev or the Bloody Mary from Edward!

The lady at the counter was so helpful and nice. I didn’t initially see a product and she took time to show me. The people of Alaska are so nice. Just being around them makes life better.

Friendly folks, good beer, and clean rooms. If you find yourself needing to spend a night in Nikiski, this is the place to stay. The rooms are always clean and well kept. The Tree house just down the street serves mean pancakes in the morning, and you can either sip a drink at the bar, or buy a 6 pack to drink in your room.

What a weird, completely Alaskan, place. I got stranded getting to the platforms in Cook Inlet. Had to shack up for the night. This place was clean and that water was hot.

Hunger Hut, is pretty local! It's on the way to Cook State Park.
The locals are wonderful, and always have a good story to tell.

I know because I worked with most of them in the Cook Inlet.
