This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. Management has their family living in the hotel and lied to us about the breakfast area being under construction because that's their private kitchen now. No pool so their false advertising and the laundry is "broke" but the managers wife uses it everyday to wash. Got in from work and found my stuff gone through and when I asked to see the footage of whose been in my room he laughed and said the cameras are for show them don't work. Then proceeds to tell me that they have the right to enter your room whenever they want that's why they have master keys. They got all their kids in one room staying and they have the whole bottom floor smelling like piss, they don't go to school I don't see how they haven't gotten in trouble.

0 stars if I could.
I came to visit my husband at this hotel due to him working out of town. He got stuck with this hotel due to his reservation being given away at another hotel and this was the only other close enough to his job. Thursday night me and my 2 children drove to him from out of state to visit him for his birthday/Father’s Day. I immediately felt something was off, there’s a big family of Hispanics (I believe) that live there, possibly 10-15 of them. Lots of the men constantly roaming the hallways, sitting on the stairs, partying in the gated area you can see to right of this picture. We stayed Thursday night and Friday night. Saturday morning after my husband left for work one of them men starts tapping on our door, I open it thinking maybe he’s part of management or he’s housekeeping you know and he just laughs at me. I shut the door and try going back to bed and he comes back with someone else. I open to see what they need and they don’t say anything to me, they only speak to each other in Spanish so I can’t understand them. They both step forward and one tries to pet my dog, which I was holding so she didn’t run out of the room. I immediately shut the door and say “no thank you”, dead bolt and latch the door. I wait a few minutes to see if they go away and the first original guy stays and starts tapping on my door. I try calling and texting my husband a couple times, he doesn’t answer due to being at work, I’m not sure if I should call the cops because maybe they’re just being stupid you know? But this guy ends up sitting in front of our room and watches underneath the door to see if I come to it. I take a towel and cover the crack under the door, try calling my husband again and I text him again telling him “I’m gonna have to call the cops if you don’t answer”. I go back to door to look through the peep hole and this guy has his ear pressed against the door, tapping on it, and saying “please help me” and starts shaking the door handle trying to open the door. At this point my husband calls me back, I tell him what’s going on and he gets tells me to call the cops, he’s on his way. I call the cops, my husband gets there and immediately gets us out of the hotel and into my car. On our way to the car a different guy there stops us and is like “we sent those guys home, we saw them on the camera”. The “manager” tells us it was his uncle and he was drunk, which I don’t believe at all. These guys were young, I do not think it was their uncle but that doesn’t matter. my husband goes inside to talk to the people and I drive to up by the road to wait on the cops to arrive. They come, get all of my information, and then go to the lobby to try to talk to someone. Everyone is gone except one person, who we were told was the owners son. When the cop tries talking to this man he all of a sudden doesn’t speak English, when just 5 minutes ago he had a whole conversation with my husband? My husband then comes back to me with all our things and we leave. The cops stay back to do their jobs I guess and that was that.

I 100% believe something horrible would’ve happened if they would’ve gotten into the room. Whether it be they hurt us, took us, or trafficked us it wouldn’t have been good. Please stray away from this place.

It's an alright place to stay for the night. Bed was really comfortable room was clean and everything worked properly in the room . I left a message for an early check-in and when we got there nobody was at the front desk, there was a lady sitting on a couch in the lobby on her phone and she said to me he said he'll be right back so I said at the desk for a little bit and then went sat down. She didn't proceeded to tell me that she'd been waiting there for 45 minutes for him to come back he was going to go check her room make sure it was ready and he never came back finally he came back in and he apologized and told us he was cleaning rooms because they've had a busy weekend and it was about 1:00 p.m he said give him a couple minutes he got us checked in and he would see if we could go to the room so about 25 minutes later he came back and said a room was ready which made me happy cuz it was hot that day and I like reality we actually did get checked in early and get into a room early check-in time is 3:00 we got in at about 1:45. Had a very peaceful night, slept well, and come morning at about 10:00 a.m.the same manager from check in comes knocking on our door and he tells me it's check out time you need to go now, and the tone he used was not very nice nor was his body language, I was in the room alone my boyfriend was carrying our luggage out to the car an when he was coming back in to see if I was coming another guy that was sitting in the lobby on his phone told my boyfriend that we need to leave now , dont know what that was all about but we won't be staying there ever again

This place is not recommended for anyone. We checked in, the young lady that finally showed up. Looked as though she’s on something, twitches and looked as though she’s been picking at her skin. Wearing sweatpants And a sweatshirt, definitely did not look like she worked there. As we are heading to our room, I’m seeing items like dressers and other furniture in the lobby and halls. Made me wonder if they are remodeling, now I’m thinking they maybe selling it off. The room was extremely small, not cleaned, the phone had been taken apart, the security latch had been busted off the frame, and the toilet didn’t flush. I addressed the concerns, and another woman switched us to another room. This one was a little cleaner, the toilet flushed. But, there is a phone that’s not hooked up. The phone cable is missing. What if there was an emergency? I just wanted to make it through the night, and get my family out. All the exterior doors are missing the security locks. Definitely did not feel safe. I missed out on a majority of sleep, because I was concerned. We would have left, but the no refund policy kept me from doing it. And after seeing reviews, all that’s getting done is your company apologizing. Nothing is getting fixed. I wished I had read them before hand. We was tired, and three young kids being stuck in a car all day. Just needed a place for the night. I regret ever coming here. And what type of motel sells off their items?

The Knights Inn was an extremely pleasant stay. Their customer service was some of the best I've ever experienced. The rooms were very clean with clean towels and sheets. One of my favorite things to do was to have a very nice cup of hot chocolate with breakfast every morning. Though there was not a shuttle, they were very helpful in taking me where I needed to go. Everyone went above and beyond the call of duty to make my stay there very enjoyable and relaxing. For this reason, I give the Knights Inn on Harbor Drive 6 stars. All the best, Sharmeen D. Jones 🙂 🙂 🙂

Hotel was clearly run down, but we were tired from a long day on the road. Went to the room. The smell wasn't good, but we thought we could tolerate it for one night. Then we looked at the beds - they were just thrown together. When I pulled back the blanket the sheets were black, dirty, and I made the fatal mistake of touching them. They were STICKY. Went to the front desk immediately. The clerk apologized and said we would get a refund but that the owner would have to process it. Then we got in the car and slept at a rest area. Multiple phone calls and almost 2 weeks later and no refund! We've had to get the credit card company involved. STAY AWAY.

There are alot of mixed reviews on this hotel. We will start with the lady that runs the front desk and handles the booking, she is great. As for my room I asked for a Non-Smoking room. The door had a no smoking sticker on it, but it was very easy to tell this room has been smoked in because you can smell it rather strongly. I have an early flight leaving from the airport so I didn't go back to the desk to barter for an actual non-smoking room. Just be warned that your non-smoking room has probably been smoked in. Cleanliness was good in the room except for the carpet. No bugs anywhere which is a plus and No stains just alot of dirt/debris that got missed by the vacuum. Furniture has some age on it and the TV picture shakes a little while watching TV. Bedding was clean and fresh. Not the most comfortable bed I've slept in but not the worst either, average. I won't be here to comment on their continental breakfast as I have to get to the airport long before it starts. Overall not a bad place if you need to lay your head on a trip but I wouldn't recommend it for any length of time.

Hotel is in the middle of nowhere, the only way into the lot is across railroad tracks which run right next to the hotel. I had to wait 15 minutes for a stopped freight train to finally start moving and clear the crossing. Front desk clerk was either brand new with no training, or totally incompetent. Took 20 minutes to check in, including several printings of the receipt on a printer with a worn out toner cartridge or drum, they were barely readable. I had booked a smoking room online at the official site, the receipt said it was a non-smoking room. When asked, the clerk said that they were out of smoking rooms. You think she could have told me before running my card? Why were they out of smoking rooms when I had one booked and confirmed? It took another 20 minutes for her to figure out how to cancel the room and charges. After spending 20 minutes on the phone, I finally found a smoking room for under $100 in Le Mars. Everyone else in town had their prices jacked up for Friday night.

I can't comment on the room but the property itself looked a bit sketchy, no place to eat anywhere near it.
