Wonderful weekend stay while fishing on the North Umpqua River. Located in the heart of the renowned North Umpqua River. A Trading Post is across the road with a great deli, lots of convenience store items, and outdoor supplies. John was incredibly helpful throughout and even invited me to watch the Superbowl with him next to a large fireplace, television, and beautiful rustic decorations. Highly recommend!

Great experience for a last minute, quick trip to the area. We were attending a funeral. I called the week of and they had a room available and at a reduced rate because it was off season. They are also pet friendly. But realize they are required to keep some rooms dander free. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The owners are friendly and helpful. Side note-call for reservation. Do not request a room online. The new owners do not have access to the site that the previous owners created. Thank you Joanne and John for taking care of us.

I stopped here on my way back to the coast after visiting Crater Lake. My daughter and I loved the property! The owners are fantastic and make you feel at home immediately. The rooms were very clean and quite comfortable. On arrival, I grabbed a beer from what was a thorough collection of some local favorites. The owner (wish I got her name) suggested some fun activities to try in the area and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay.
I'd definitely stay here again and highly recommend the experience!

One of The Best and coolest places we’ve ever stayed. Its an old lodge with just a few rooms that the owners bought and renovated. The rooms are clean, comfortable, reasonably priced. The owners Joanne and her husband are fantastic. Very warm, friendly, and accommodating.

We stayed on a Friday night. After checking in we joined a few people at the beer/wine bar. We noticed more and more people arriving with food. After a few drinks we were treated to a potluck type dinner/gathering of their friends, neighbors, and other hotel guests. Things wrapped up around 8 pm. Great food. Wonderful people. (Note... I think this only happens on Fridays)

Its a very low key, unique place. (Cools, bar area, outside deck, beautiful hardwood floors). We loved it. At times we felt we were in Cheers. Will definitely stay there again.

Don't judge this book by its cover. My son and I booked the lodge online as a stop on our way from Crater lake to the coast. It was a little rough on the outside but it is 100 years old. However, Joanne, the host, was very accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable and quiet. The lobby area was very nostalgic with decor from bygone days and plenty of room to stretch out. Would definitely recommend and stay again when we are in the area.

We came to Idleyld for a family event and found the Lodge to be perfect for our stay. The rooms were clean and we'll cared for. The check-in was easy and they even gave us homemade banana bread! ☺ Great place! We would definitely stay again.

You really have to stop here! What a darling place. Lovely selection of wine and beer, cute bar and outdoor seating, and charming rooms. Best of all, it's a community gathering place on Fridays, often with music, and a warm and friendly hangout. The owners are interesting and welcoming. I love it!
