Just wrapped up the 101 Improv class at Baltimore Improv Group, and I highly recommend it! Carlton was an awesome instructor, and the whole vibe was fun, supportive, and creative. I’m someone who likes to be prepared, so jumping into the unknown was way out of my comfort zone—but it ended up being a joyful and eye-opening experience. If you’re looking to try something new, stretch yourself, or just reconnect with your playful side, check out BIG!

I love BIG! I took classes from levels 201- 501, and I also recently finished an improv elective class there. The classes are great, and there is also a sense of community. I've made some awesome friends, and I now have a chance to perform with them regularly. Do yourself a favor and take classes at BIG! Also, go watch some funny shows there. BIG Time on Saturdays is an amazing show where the cast does improvised scenes off of the stories told by local movers and shakers. It's such a fun show!

Cool vibes. Great group of people. It was fun to watch and experience. The atmosphere was welcoming. It feels like an art space and I really appreciate the effort everyone puts forth. I shall return for another show

BIG is an amazing community art space. The shows are hilarious and very affordable. House team nights on Fridays are so funny, its amazing just how funny unscripted comedy can be.

Conservatory nights on Thursdays are also such a dope opportunity to see up and coming really creative and talented performers, and there some really funny scenes.

The theater seems to be really thriving, there's been a lot of growth in 2023 and should continue onwards.

The classes are also so fun, and taught by a lot of very talented and dedicated teachers (who also often put on hilarious shows at the theater). They have classes for all skill levels.

I'd suggest everyone try at least one improv class, and come to some shows!

Best place to catch an improv show in Baltimore!
3 shows a night Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Feeling adventurous ? Join the fun at the ‘open mic’ jam on Thursdays. Like what you see? Take a class there as well

BIV was kind enough to lead an improv class for my real estate team and it was FANTASTIC! We learned and laughed a lot. We got really far out of our comfort zone and had a great day. They were excellent facilitators and left us feeling like we have a great bond and a few knew skills along with a great perspective to face the world with. HIGHLY recommend hiring them for a retreat/ conference or workshop. I wish I could give them 6 stars!
