Stayed here a week for work. Then had a death in the family and had to return home and was not able to go back to the hotel to get my effects. I called them and explained the situation. Told them to please bag up my stuff I will pick it up soon. As we are frequently at this hotel for work. They said they would. Now all my clothes and other items are missing. They said all they found were my neon work shirts embroidered with the company logo. Do not stay long here. The housekeeping will steal your items as soon as they get the chance. And the clerks will give you the run around. I’m now having to replace the $300 of clothes they stole. Lesson learned.

Update: they reached out only after i posted this review. But every single time i called or went there in person they gave me the excuse “its against our policy” so i am going to tell them this. It is against my policy to change my review even if they try to make it right this one time. Cause they need to not let it ever happens again to anyone else. I hope this review keeps people aware of this locations bad behavior and treatment of its customers. I got the run around every single time i went there even when in person i was never given the opportunity to speak to management even after asking to speak to the manager. Reducing review of rooms to 1 star to reflect that items left in rooms will go “missing”.

Great location and view! Everything is about 5 minutes away, restaurants, parks and shopping. I did enjoy its close proximity to the highway! The staff were really nice and accommodating as they allowed us to check-in an hour earlier! We love Paso Robles and will definitely come out and explore the town some more! We went to check out the attraction SENSORIO LIGHTS! And it was beautiful and very magical it was allot of walking and towards the end of the night my kids and I were ready for a warm shower and comfortable bed which we enjoyed at this establishment! Definitely a very beautiful property!

Location is convenient. That's where the positives end. They will charge extra for parking. They will charge extra for a simple continental breakfast. They require you to join their rewards program, make an account with your personal information, sign up for their newsletter, all in order to use the wifi. My shower had stains on the walls

This is no 3 star hotel; they are trying the Ryanair business plan, but with higher prices.

If you’re in town for business or pleasure this is a really good quality hotel. From the extremely clean and renovated rooms, to the small restaurant bar area, it was a great base.||All the staff were really super helpful and friendly. I needed assistance with sending off a large Fed ex package and the front desk offered to take it for me themselves!!, as I was working all day during the stay, Abraham went above and beyond and was Customer service personified. ||Also, a shout out to the very knowledgeable and friendly bar staff, particularly ‘Big Brian’ who was terrific and who could probably competently fulfill any role within this property. ||As a Bonvoy Titanium Member I would choose this hotel every time. ||Really lovely experience. ||Thank you Courtyard, you are a Marriott brand to be proud of.

A tale of two Courtyards
I’ve stayed at several Courtyards this year, while most were okay stays, the two in California stand out. There was the one in Rancho Bernardo which was meh at best and the one in Paso Robles which should be the gold standard for Courtyards everywhere. The hands on efforts of Beth and Shyann are evident at the Paso Robles Courtyard. The rooms are clean and updated, the staff is happy and helpful and don’t even get me started on Abraham’s front desk crew, not only service with a smile but going way above and beyond to help you and make sure your stay is good. Of course there are a few oddities like how the bathroom door opens or half of the laundry doesn’t work with the app (they have laundry though and quarters still work). Point is, the leadership and quality of the staff make this a go to for me anytime I’m in Paso Robles going forward. They should send other GMs and AGMs to this one to see how it is done.

We had a good stay but did have a few issues:||||1. The lady behind the Bistro counter was not helpful. The manager was kind enough to understand and took the breakfast off my bride's bill.||2. We discovered while checking out that our food & beverage credit cannot be “stacked.” The gentleman checking us out said that we should have been told that at check-in. As I reminded him, he was the one who checked us in and he did not mention that. This rule needs to be changed.||3. Not providing complimentary bottled water to Elite members is a big miss.||||Although a complimentary upgrade was not available (Lifetime Titanium Elite), we were happy with the room darkening curtains and the linen. Can add a few more bathroom amenities at minimum cost e.g. shower cap, ear buds etc.||||Marriott Central Reservation had sent a message advising the hotel that I was there to celebrate my 75th birthday, however that seemed to have got lost somewhere. No acknowledgement.||||Lastly, it is sad to see the Management's response to these reviews. Nearly all are identical cut and paste. They can do better.

Room layout was kind of weird. Main and bathroom doors kind of block eachother. Nice TV, but layout of room was awkward overall. Jacuzzi didn't work the first night, but was fixed by the morning so that was good. Decent location. Walked to downtown easy enough. Gym was solid and clean.

The room type (king) I requested and paid for was not available but they were quite accommodating and put me in a 2 queen room and also gave me free parking and a free breakfast. The room was very nice and very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Although I did not have to pay for the parking I was quite shocked that they charged for it at all. The hotel is not in a busy downtown area but just off the freeway at the father end of town with a large fairly empty lot. It was a great choice for a quick get away to see friends.
