We had a great experience at Home2 Suites in downtown San Antonio. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained—exactly what you'd hope for during a stay. The service stood out as excellent; the staff were friendly and professional throughout our visit.

A heads-up for future guests: there's no self-parking available, so valet is the only option. While the valet service is on the pricier side, the team was very courteous and efficient. Our car was ready and waiting for us right when we checked out, which made for a smooth departure.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay and a solid choice if you're looking to stay downtown.

Stayed here with my family to visit a friend that is stationed at Ft Sam Houston. ||PROS: The location is convenient for walking to local stores and eateries. We definitely loved that there was a “Panadería” right across the street! Our suite had a kitchen minus a stove but they do offer portable burner. Breakfast style buffet in the lobby area offered varied options each morning. It’s definitely a plus when you have kids. ||CONS: There are many hobos lingering around the outside perimeter so be alert at all times. Our bathroom smelled like terrible sewage, it was revolting to smell when I brushed my teeth! All elevators but ONE was working so many people were complaining about how long they have been waiting for it. ||Overall, probably would not choose this particular hotel again.

I was originally supposed to stay at a different Hilton location but when I got to the hotel I was told they were out of rooms, even though I booked in advance. It was not ideal but I was moved to the Home 2 Suites down the road.
I was delightfully surprised by the accommodations as well as the very friendly and helpful staff. I only interacted with the front desk and valet staff but they were able to make my stay better than I expected. Though I never met the house keeping face-to-face my room was spotless when I arrived and very neat after the day I had servicing.
The free daily breakfast and skillet that allowed me to prepare meals inside my room was great. The self parking was only a short walk away as well. The gym is small but perfect for a quick workout.
The doors are locked 24 hours and only accessible with a room key, providing a sense of safety in the downtown area. The valet was helpful in letting me in for check in (before I received my room key) and also helpful in directing me to the self-parking area.
I would definitely stay again.

My first night and first time here, the two gentlemen at the front desk this evening were some of the most professional and considerate hosts I've experienced. After checking in my AC was only blowing hot and they were kind enough to check on me and the panel personally. After finding out it may be a larger issue, they moved me to a close by alternative room and made sure it was up to par before transferring me. Some things are out of our control and you gotta roll with the punches and I want to highlight the outstanding attitudes of the evening shift.

Absolute nightmare of Hilton hotels. If you can stay anywhere else, but here. It's been a whirlwind between being double charged for Valet, once by Hilton and separately by Valet company. DO NOT opt in for the Valet add in service available on the Hilton Honors app. After that debacle, we arrive to our room which only had a King but we reserved and virtually checked into a room with 2 queens. No management onsite, at 6pm until next morning at 8am. Hotel staff were unhelpful and felt like they were degrading us. Only response was "oh someone gave your room away and we're fully booked". Then felt like we're being held hostage because we already paid for the Valet TWICE.

Good location, friendly staff, decent breakfast. Two out of the three elevators not operating during our stay. Self parked behind the hotel for $22 versus paying $45 at hotel. Next time will look for different hotel.

I stayed at the Home2 Suites in downtown San Antonio and had a great experience overall, but the valet service really stood out—especially Chance. I was juggling a few things that day and running a bit behind, but Chance was calm, friendly, and incredibly fast in helping me get parked and checked in without a hitch.||You can tell he takes pride in his work. Honestly, it made the start of my trip feel so much smoother. Really appreciate the extra attention and professionalism.||Highly recommend asking for Chance if you use valet here!

Very lovely staff! Shoutout to Andre for being so lovely and kind! Hotel is very nice, the room was very spacious and clean. The Breakfast is yummy and they put out free snacks throughout the day/night which was so sweet! It's right next to the riverwalk which was great for access. Husband and I spent our anniversary here and loved it!
