The staff is awesome. Our car broke down on our way to taking our son to the University of Iowa Children's Hospital for a regular appointment. He has a terminal illness and has a very difficult time regulating his body temperature. The hotel was a lifesaver. The air was on and the room was cold. The bed was super comfortable. The restaurant nextdoor was packed all night and then a good crowd for lunch the following day. We had to leave our car there to get back home (300miles away). I called and told the staff my situation and they are okay with the car there for a few days which helps so much in our current situation. Great place and amazing owners. Thank you Junction for being there in in our time of need.

We were excited to have a room near where we were going to go hunting but with disappointment after disappointment from the room, I can say we will never be staying here again. When we got into our room there was a stain on the comforter, which we just figured we'd pull it off and just use the sheets but then we see stains on the sheets and pillows...yuk. As if that wasn't bad enough there was hair from other people on the bed! Also, when we went to strip the bed there was pee stains on the mattress cover...honestly with the newer looking matching furniture in the room it can't be hard to get some new bedding. When I went to throw away a water bottle the trash can in the room, it already had someone else's trash in it.. which they will charge you an insane fee for "excessive trash" if you leave too much in the room, which is odd given that they didnt even take out the trash from the last people. The sink was filthy as if you didn't clean the one in your home for a month. We didn't want to even touch the shower so despite really needing one we opted to wait till we got back home. The young girl at the front desk was nice but didn't understand when asked if there was a pet fee..she said no but then changed it to if there is a pet you have to pay. I asked how much and she told me $25, which we agreed to and then she said it will be $50 for two nights. Given the disgusting environment of the room a pet fee at all is ridiculous. The carpet was disgusting when I changed my socks it literally felt like i stepped in a waxy old melton crayon leaving a residue on the bottom of my feet, I was horrified. I was woken up by people and could hear their entire conversations through the walls and front door...not sure if they were just yelling at 11:30pm or if the walls really were that thin. Anyway overall, unhappy with our experience, will not be back, we do not recommend staying here if you want peace of mind in bed or a clean room.

The toilet seat in the bathroom was off the hinges. The clerk was informed and did nothing. No coffee in the rooms. There was no soda or ice machines to be found.
