The hosts were the most adorable couple I've ever seen and they really did everything they could to make our stay great. The room was clean and ours even had a sauna in it!

The breakfast was phenomenal and it was the cutest house I've ever seen. Full kitchen to use if you needed and had a great movie room & selection. The best waffle I've ever had.

The host and hostess are very dear and seek to do all they can to make your stay memorable. We have stayed there many times, in different rooms. The room with the sauna and the one with the jacuzzi are our two favorites. The lovely furnishings are a special treat. The breakfast is amazing with the omelettes being the best we have ever had.

This place is beautiful, quiet, and elegant. I can't say enough about the owners and their hospitality. The breakfast was delicious and you feel like royalty sitting at their table every morning. Rooms were very clean with lots of space to move around. Beds were very comfortable. We saw a moose the first night we were there! This is the best place to stay outside of the city. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Highland Glen! Hosts are absolutely lovely and the place is gorgeous. We only stayed one night - but our room had everything we needed. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, and served on beautiful china - very picturesque. We took a walk around the hills surrounding the lodge and it was a great place to start our trip in Alaska. I will definitely be recommending Highland Glen to anyone traveling to Alaska and staying any amount of time in Anchorage!

We stayed here two nights during our Alaska vacation. These were probably the nicest accommodations of our trip. The B&B is a beautifully decorated English Tudor home. Guest rooms are on the top level where there is a common room with coffee/tea available 24/7. We were in room 1 and it was spacious for our group of 4. Beds were comfortable and it had a huge bath with Jacuzzi and steam shower. Breakfast is served downstairs and it is a wonderful experience. Feast on a delicious hearty breakfast served on fine china. The hosts are delightful and warm and welcoming. I would come back to Alaska just to stay here again!

Yes! You want to stay here. The hosts and home are charming. We enjoyed the restful elegance. The breakfast omelette was delicious and rounded out with bacon, fresh fruit, raisin bread, sesame toast, jam, butter, hot coffee or tea, and orange juice. With some prompting, we convinced Sheila to tell us how a Scottish lass ended up in Alaska! She and Cliff are a delight.

Very elegant place and EXCELLENT breakfast. The proprietors are very personable. They keep the place immaculate. The sunsets are extraordinary every night. And there is a vast panorama of the Alaska Range all the way north to Denali " The Great One".

Best place to stay in Anchorage, Alaska.

The house is very nicely decorated. The breakfast was served in English style with a lot of attention to details. The utensils, the tea set, everything gives off a very nice homey feeling. The home made waffles with reindeer meat tasted heavenly.
