We ate a number of meals here and had excellent service for them all. Yolanda was friendly and took care of us. The hostesses at the front went above and beyond with our “to go” orders (so we could eat in the main lobby closer to fire). The bar tender was great, acknowledged new customers immediately and got drinks quickly. And of course the food was delicious! Just before we left we all ordered five more bowls of that delicious seafood chowder! Highly recommend!!

Absolutely gorgeous views of the mountains!! Our server was amazing and very courteous. We stayed when they were doing the ‘Asian night’ and while the concept was interesting, but clearly not their expertise. The bartender also prepared custom mock tails for our table. The items that tasted the best were all seafood, which are usually a bit pricey. Overall a good experience!

View of Denali was exceptional. However, service was extremely bad. We had to wait over 2 hrs for our food. Waitress never checked on us, we had to chase her down twice, other waiters once each, head waitress, finally manager. Nothing offered that wasn’t already part of our meal voucher. They couldn’t even offer another drink. Wasn’t worth the 18% tip that was automatically included as part of the voucher. Take the shuttle and go into town. We had much better service at one of the local establishments.

Delicious dishes here! My favorites are the fresh halibut, scallops, meatloaf, burger, tots, korean fried cauliflower, and the crème brûlée! The bar makes great beverages, like the forget me not. There’re evenings with entertainment, and special themes like sushi and asian night. Fresh oysters! The bistro can be very busy, and when it is there can be a wait, but it’s worth it. Enjoy the views!

Great food. Great service. And a 5-star review for a restaurant that had just had a power outage and was operating without computers and network (our waitress calculated the bill and tax in her head because she could not ring up the transaction!). The food was amazing! There were four in our party and food included the Beast Burger, Halibut and Chips, Rockfish and Chips, Seafood Chowder, and Halibut Quesadilla. The halibut was the best I tasted during our entire visit to Alaska. The seafood chowder was amazing. The beast burger was delicious! They source from local growers, which I appreciate. The beer list was fabulous (for IPA lovers, try the 49th State Solstice IPA). My only 'complaint' was that the Bistro wasn't easy to find. Follow signs for Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge (turn onto Talkeetna Lodge Road from Talkeetna Spur Rd)--it's worth the hunt to find it!

The food was delicious when it finally showed up 2.5 hrs after we ordered it... we had quite the large party but the amount of time we waited for any food and drinks was ridiculous. It took 45 minutes for one appetizer and we barely got our dinner once the restaurant had basically emptied.

Beautiful views, delicious food and wonderful service! Our group of six thoroughly enjoyed our early dinner (5:15pm). They do not take reservations so on a beautiful day get there early. There is both outdoor and indoor dining with spectacular views of Mt Denali. We had salads, burgers, drinks and fish and chips and everyone loved their dinner choices. Samantha was a great server and very attentive to our needs. Perfect meal to end a beautiful day.

Food was cold, smores dessert was just marshmallows with chocolate syrup
Waited 20 minutes for water, waited 30 for our ticket, finally had to go find waiter & get it.
Told him he needed help he said no, so to me he’s greedy.
